Balancing Board Exams and JEE Main 2019 Preparation

Now candidates who are appearing in class 12 will most probably complete their syllabus by the month of January and by December you will be completing 95% of your syllabus. The board exams will be knocking the doors in February 2019. Thus, here is how you can balance your boards and JEE Main 2019 preparations.

Now JEE Main 2019 will be twice a year and in online mode. So, if you are not able to perform your best in the first exam, i.e. in January you will have another chance in April. Now how to balance your JEE Main 2019 preparations along with the board exams? Read below.

Time Table for Balancing Board Exams and JEE Main 2019 Preparation – Month Wise

  • Focus on Physics majorly and start Chemistry preparation along with.
  • A lot of Maths practice must start here.
  • 1 hour of time dedicated to languages.
Start solving 100 Physics MCQs* and stay for 50 each for Chemistry and Maths
November
  • Complete Physics by end of this month and Chemistry must be 80% complete.
  • A lot of Maths practice must continue.
  • 1 hour of time dedicated to languages.
Start solving 100 Maths MCQs* and 50 each for Chemistry and Physics
December Dedicate each week of this month to a particular subject. There are 4 weeks:
  • 1st week to Physics
  • 2nd week to Chemistry
  • 3rd week to Maths.
  • The last week must be for languages.
Similarly, solve subject wise question papers from previous years. Solve atleast 15 such question papers in this month.

In the last week, you can solve full length 5 question papers from previous years.

January Solve previous years class 12 question papers of your board. Every week try to solve at least 2 of them. JEE Main 2019 January Exam
February Class 12 exams Revise all the chapters once thoroughly. Analyse what went wrong or what can be better.
March Class 12 exams Start solving full length papers.

How To Manage Time While Balancing Board Exams and JEE Main 2019 Preparation

This is one of the most important things that the students are facing. Managing time. Well let us tell you while in school you will have 3 types of days:

#1 Holidays (Full day off)

During such days login 7 hours of studies. Such days must be considered as blessings and candidates must utilise these type of days to their advantage.

#2 Half day off (Tuitions are there but no school or vice-versa)

Log in at least 5 hours of studies. Whatever time you get, utilise it to follow the timetable we have discussed above.

#3 Jammed Pack day (No leaves, full day school and tuitions)

Try to log in at least 3 to 4 hours of your time for self-study as per the timetable above. Make sure to never miss a day without logging in a study period of 3 hours.
