BCECE 2019 Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board conducts Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) for admission in the colleges of Bihar. Candidates who wish to get admission in Engineering/ Technology, Pharmacy or Agricultural Science courses must apply for BCECE 2019. BCECE will not be conducted in 2 stages anymore. Candidates interested in taking admission in various government colleges in the state of Bihar must apply for BCECE 2019 as per the schedule given below:

BCECE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the exam must fulfill basic eligibility criteria to be considered for admission. Below we have illustrated all the basic criteria that applicant must meet:

Education Qualification

For Engineering and Technology: Candidate must have scored minimum 45% marks in subjects including Physics, Mathematics and any one of the subjects from Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Animal Science/ Technical Vocational. However, candidates applying under reserved category have to score a minimum 40% marks.

For Pharmacy: Applicant must score minimum 45% marks with compulsory subjects being Physics and Chemistry along with any one of the subjects: Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Animal Science/ Technical Vocational. On the other hand, applicants belonging to reserved category needs 40% marks.

For Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur:

(i) Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc (Agriculture) or B.Sc (Garden) must have done I.Sc/ I.Sc (Agri) with subjects Physics, Chemistry and any one of the subjects: Animal Science/ Mathematics/ Agricultural Science

(ii) Applicants seeking admission in B.Tech (Dairy Technology) must have qualified I.Sc or equivalent examination with subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

(iii) For admission to CBA Group applicant must have done I.Sc (Agri) with compulsory subjects Chemistry, Animal Science, and Agricultural Science.

Domicile

Candidate should be a citizen of India and any one of the following

  • Has domicile of Bihar
  • Parents are living in Bihar
  • Parent is working for Bihar Government
  • Parent is an employee of Government of India / UNO and posted in Bihar

Age Limit

For admission in Engineering and Pharmacy, there is no minimum age requirement. However, if an applicant opts for a seat in college outside the state under Bihar category, he/ she has obliged by the age limit of such college or institution.

Candidates seeking admission in Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur must have a minimum age of 17 years.

BCECE 2019 Application Form

To fill the application form candidate must follow the steps illustrated below:

Step 1: Applicant must visit the official website and click on the link to register himself/ herself. After registering a registration number and password will be sent to the email and mobile number.

Step 2: Now the applicant must pay an application fee for appearing in the exam. Application fee details are as follows:

Payment could be made online through credit/ debit card/ net banking. For offline payment, the candidate needs to take a print out of e-challan and deposit it in any branch of Canara Bank.

Step 3: After payment, the candidate has to click on the link to fill out personal information. Thereafter, a form is displayed on the screen which is required to be filled providing correct details like father’s name, address and other relevant information.

On providing the personal details proceed with uploading candidate’s photograph and signature. The size of the image should be 3.5 x 4.5 cm and should also have a Placard on it with full name and date when the picture was captured. The photograph should not be older than January 01, 2019.

Step 4: Now submit the details and continue filling the application form by providing academic qualification as asked. Provide information in the relevant fields and press on click on submit. Review the complete application form and confirm the submission.

Step 5: Thereafter, take two printouts of the application form and send one copy to the Controller of examination along with the relevant documents in support of the candidate’s eligibility.

Note: Before sending the application form, a candidate must paste passport size photo, do signature in Hindi as well as English in the relevant columns and write a declaration at the end of the application form.

BCECE 2019 Admit Card

It is an important document that is required to successfully appear for the exam. Admit card for BCECE 2019 will be issued after the application process is over It is provided to the candidates whose application forms have been accepted and they are eligible to appear for the exam.

To download the admit card, visit the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and click on the link provided there. Take a print out of it and keep it safe as it will be required to appear for the exam as well as during admission process. After taking a print out check all the details on it and if there is an error, immediately contact the Controller of Examination.

Applicant must also take a print out of Appendix-6 from the brochure of BCECE 2019 and fill it providing the details asked for it. Also, paste a postcard size photograph on it and submit it to the invigilator at the time of examination. It is necessary as without it no one will be allowed to write the exam.

BCECE 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Examination: Offline- OMR Answer Sheet will be Provided.
  • Total Marks: 400 in each subject
  • Number Question: 100 in each subject
  • Marking scheme: +4 for correct answers and -1 for each wrong answer.
  • The language of the Question Paper: Hindi and English

BCECE 2019 Merit List / Result

BCECEB will release the BCECE 2019 Result after the examination. A merit list will be available to the candidates as per the schedule of the declaration of the result. The schedule of the BCECE Counselling 2018 will be declared after the examination and declaration of the result. The result will be calculated as per the marking scheme of the examination.

BCECE 2019 Counselling

After the declaration of result/merit list, candidates will be called for in-person counseling. The details of counseling will be provided to the candidates either through post or from the official website of the Board.

Candidates have to appear for counseling and make the choices for the college they want to get admission. Keeping in view, the marks of candidate and preference seat allotment are done.

Applicant has to now confirm the seat by taking admission, in order to participate in next rounds of counseling. If a candidate is happy with the seat allotted he/ she can withdraw from the counseling and freeze the seat.

Document verification will also be done at the time of admission by the college or institution in which applicant is admitted.
