BITS Pilani has been recently added to the list of Institute Of Eminence by MHRD. After JEE Main, BITSAT is considered to be the most prestigious engineering entrance exam. BITSAT 2019 Application Form

The BITSAT Application Form is available online and the candidates can apply for the exam in the online mode only. To apply for the exam candidates have to first register themselves.

BITSAT 2019 Application Form Correction

The BITSAT 2019 Application Form Correction Window opens for a limited period of time. if a candidate completes the application form along with fee but laters discovers any mistake in the form submitted by him/her, he/she can edit the required fields in the online application.

Here are the rules:

  • No Email queries regarding corrections will be entertained.
  • A candidate has to go online and make changes to his or her application during the application form correction period.
  • No further changes can be made to the application form after the application form correction window closes.

BITSAT 2019 Eligibility

The candidates who wish to apply for the BITSAT 2019 exam must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent.
  • The mandatory subjects that the candidates must have studied at the 10+2 level are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and English.
  • Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam in 2018 are eligible to apply for BITSAT 2019. Also, the candidates who will pass the 10+2 exam in 2019 are also eligible for the BITS entrance test.
  • . If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered.

Direct Admission To The Board Toppers!

All the first rank holders of the state or central board 10+2 exam are eligible to take admission in any of the UG engineering courses of their choice irrespective of BITSAT 2019 scores. However, the admission will be subjective to the eligibility criteria

BITSAT 2019 Exam Time

The exam is conducted from May 16 to 26, 2019. On each day during this period, the exam is to be conducted in 2 slots. The slot timings are:

  • The first slot will be from 9.00 am till 12.00 noon.
  • The second slot will be from 2.00pm till 5.00pm.

A candidate can choose any one out of these two slots based on the availability, during teh slot booking process.

BITSAT 2019 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of BITSAT 2019 is as follows:

  • Mode of the exam: Online
  • Marking Scheme: +3 for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer

Note: There is no time limit for individual parts of the test. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 150 questions.

Important Notes about the exam centers:

  • The BITSAT 2019 exam is being held in all the 50 exam cities from May 16-26, 2019. However, some of the test centers may operate only for a limited duration during this period depending on the number of applications received.
  • The final exam date, center wise, will be available after the applications are received and the application form submission closes.

BITSAT 2019 Result and Score Card

The candidates will be able to check the result online on the official website. You will be able to check the result by entering the Application Number and Date of Birth. BITS will also release the scorecard of the candidates.

It will include correct answers, wrong answers, and your total score. You will also be able to check the score after the next day itself. The scores will be available on the official website. The University explicitly suggests the candidates take printouts of their scorecard. Candidate need not appear for the exam within the same year if gotten fewer marks.

BITSAT 2019 Merit List

For the purpose of admissions, BITS prepares the merit lists. BITS authorities prepare BITSAT 2019 Merit List on the basis of the marks obtained. Definitely, the candidates with the higher score will get higher rank in the merit list. Additionally, note that the admission of the candidate will be purely based on the merit. The candidates will be able to check the merit list after the release of Result. They will check the merit list on the official website.

Tie- Breaker

If two candidates get the same score then there will be a tie between them. To resolve this, BITS will take the further steps:

  • BITS will take the maths marks into consideration, then.
  • If it feels, there still remains a tie, will look into the Physics marks.
  • University observes the Chemistry marks as one of the last resort.
  • Lastly, class 12th PCM marks will be the basis for the tiebreaker.

Q2. Can a candidate apply for BITSAT 2019 if he or she had PCB in class 12th?

The candidates having studied PCB in class 12th level will only be eligible to apply for B.Pharma courses. But particularly, will not be eligible for any other first degree programmes of the Institute.

Q3. After submission of my application, can I correct some of my errors?

Later, the University provides a link of editing your application form for a limited time period. Usually, around the 3rd week of March, every year. University won’t entertain any emails regarding the same. For this reason, candidates need to keep a check on the official website for any related information.

Q4. For BITSAT 2019, my class 12th results are out yet out? In such a case can I apply?

Significantly, a candidate applying should have passed class 12th before the 3rd week of June, can only apply.
