BITSAT 2019 – Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani conducts the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT). Ordinarily, the exam is conducted in online mode. BITSAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria
For the purpose of getting into BITS, a candidate needs to read the eligibility criteria. And makes sure he or she matches to those rules. BITS University lays down these rules. For this reason, we have mentioned the same below.
- You must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent. Consequently, should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and English.
- Altogether, in 10+2 should have scored above 75%.
- Particularly only those candidates are eligible for appearing who have class 12th in 2018 or 2018.
- Your latest marks will be considered for class 12th if given more than one attempt.
Failure to fulfill any of these above eligibility criteria, a candidate’s application will be canceled.

BITSAT 2019 Exam Pattern

- Mode of Exam: BITSAT 2019 will be a computer based online exam.
- Type of Paper: It will be an objective type paper. Four options will be provided. You will have to choose one correct answer among them.
- Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, a candidate will be marked 3 marks. And there will be a negative marking of -1 mark for every incorrect answer.
- Sections To Be Attempted: You will have to attempt four parts. In brief, you need to attempt all the questions.
- Duration: The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours. There will be no time limit for each part. You will have to complete the four parts within 3 hours.

BITSAT 2019 Application Process
As per the dates released by the University, a candidate needs to visit the official website or visit our pages for the direct link to apply for BITSAT 2019. Note that, the applications are invited by the University through online mode. It will be made available over the official website. Consequently, the application procedure gets over by the month of March, every year. An application will only be considered to be submitted successfully immediately after the payment of the application fee. Without delay, candidates can check the information regarding the application process from the points given below.
Application Fee: The application fee for different candidates will be nearly as given below. Note that this was last year’s fee. This page will be updated accordingly after the official release of this year’s brochure. Till that time, candidates can have an idea regarding the application fee.
- For Male Candidate: Rs. 2950/-
- For Female Candidate: Rs. 2450/-
Mode of Payment: Candidates can choose any of the online payment modes. The Payment Modes available are debit card or credit card or net banking. Make sure, you note the transaction ID (when you receive the payment confirmation from the University) to complete the admission procedure in future.
How to Apply For BITSAT 2019?

BITSAT 2019 Admit Card
The candidates who will do the registration will get BITSAT 2019 Admit Card. It will be made available on the official website www.bitsadmission.com. BITS releases the admit cards in between the month of April and May. Accordingly, you will have to download the admit card by entering the Application Number and date of Birth. Candidates need to check the details before downloading.
If there will be any error then contact the University regarding this. The surveillance board of the University monitors the test center for security reasons. So the candidates will have to carry the admit card at the time of appearing in the exam. You will not be allowed to give the exam without the admit card.

BITSAT 2019 Result and Score Card
Generally speaking, BITSAT releases the result in the month of June 2019. The candidates will be able to check the result online on the official website. The direct link will be provided over our pages too. You will be able to check the result by entering the Application Number and Date of Birth. BITS will also release the scorecard of the candidates.
It will include correct answers, wrong answers, and your total score. You will also be able to check the score after the next day itself. The scores will be available on the official website. The University explicitly suggests the candidates take printouts of their scorecard. Candidate need not appear for the exam within the same year if gotten fewer marks.
BITSAT 2019 Merit List
For the purpose of admissions, BITS prepares the merit lists. BITS authorities prepare BITSAT 2019 Merit List on the basis of the marks obtained. Definitely, the candidates with the higher score will get higher rank in the merit list. Additionally, note that the admission of the candidate will be purely based on the merit. The candidates will be able to check the merit list after the release of Result. They will check the merit list on the official website.
If two candidates get the same score then there will be a tie between them. To resolve this, BITS will take the further steps:
- BITS will take the maths marks into consideration, then.
- If it feels, there still remains a tie, will look into the Physics marks.
- University observes the Chemistry marks as one of the last resort.
- Lastly, class 12th PCM marks will be the basis for the tiebreaker.

Q2. Can a candidate apply for BITSAT 2019 if he or she had PCB in class 12th?
The candidates having studied PCB in class 12th level will only be eligible to apply for B.Pharma courses. But particularly, will not be eligible for any other first degree programmes of the Institute.
Q3. After submission of my application, can I correct some of my errors?
Later, the University provides a link of editing your application form for a limited time period. Usually, around the 3rd week of March, every year. University won’t entertain any emails regarding the same. For this reason, candidates need to keep a check on the official website for any related information.
Q4. For BITSAT 2019, my class 12th results are out yet out? In such a case can I apply?
