Candidates who have successfully completed the CCMT 2018 Registration process will be asked to Report to the Reporting Centres (RCs) via online CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Result. The result of CCMT seat allotment round 2 is now available on the official website. Candidates need to login using their GATE details and check the results. The CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Result will indicate the seat, a candidate has been allotted, according to their choices locked during the Registration Process. The Seat Allotment will take place in 3 Rounds. The notification of the same is available online on the official website ccmt.nic.in and the details have been provided on this page below.

CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Result
If a candidate is allotted seat in any of the three seat allotment rounds, they will have to report to the RCs as per the schedule. Seats will be allotted as per merit on the basis of locked choices and will be available on the official website ccmt.nic.in. CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Process
Following steps shows the process of CCMT Seat Allotment:
- Check if you have been allotted seat in the first round of seat allotment by visiting the direct link that will be available on this page as per the schedule. Or you can visit the official website ccmt.nic.in.
- If a seat is allotted, report to the RC by first paying the seat acceptance fee.
- If you are satisfied with your allotted seat, choose Freezing as your willingness and pay the seat confirmation fee and other required fees to the admitting institute.
- If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat you can choose your willingness of Sliding/floating at the RC and move to the subsequent round (Round 2, Round 3).
- At the end of round 3, if you are still left with the sliding option, you will have to go through the internal sliding rounds.
- You can withdraw your seat too, and start the process again as a fresh candidate by participating in the National Spot Round (NSR).
What is Freezing/Sliding/Floating?
CCMT 2018 seat allotment process, provides you with willingness choices. Which means you can indicate your willingness about the seat allotted to you. The three choices of willingness that you will be provided with are described below:

|Floating||You are not satisfied with the seat and you wish to be considered for all higher preferred choices across the institutes.|
|Sliding||You are not satisfied with your seat and you wish to be considered for all higher preferred choices within the institute allotted to you.|
CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Rounds
There will be 3 seat allotment rounds. The seat allotment rounds will give you the advantage of practicing your choices of willingness throughout. You have to be present in person in the rounds with required documents. The process of fee payments is also to be completed as per the schedule of the Seat Allotment Round you appear in.
Check your CCMT Seat Allotment Results online and appear for the rounds in person. You have to pay the Seat Acceptance fee before appearing in any of the Seat Allotment Rounds.
CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Result – Round 1:
During the first round of allotment, the candidates can set their willingness. If the willingness is Freezing then, the candidate can confirm the provisional allotment of the seat by paying the Seat Confirmation Fees during the prescribed period and download the Provisional Seat Confirmation letter from the website.
If you fail to pay the Seat Confirmation Fee during the prescribed period, allotted seat stands canceled. If the willingness is Floating/Sliding, the candidate has to wait for probable allotment of preferred higher choices in the further 2 rounds.
CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Result – Round 2:
If a candidate is reporting for the first time, they can choose their willingness. If they are rolled from Round 1, then they can change their willingness by reporting to their earlier RC. If you they find themselves satisfied with the seat, they can choose freezing and pay the seat confirmation fee and download the Provisional Seat Confirmation letter. If willingness is Floating/Sliding, they have to wait for Round 3 for further allotment of their preferred higher choices.
CCMT 2018 Seat Allotment Result – Round 3:
In Round 3, no Floating choice of willingness will be provided to any candidate. At the end of this round if anyone is having Floating willingness it will be converted to sliding. Such Candidates will participate in the Internal Sliding Rounds.
Candidates who are not satisfied with the allotment but have already paid the Seat Acceptance Fee should report to the Reporting Center for withdrawal of their seats.
All candidates, who withdraw their seat, forfeit all claims on the seat allotted to them.
Withdrawal candidates can apply in NSR round as a fresh candidate by paying the NSR
Internal Sliding Rounds:
There will be two internal sliding rounds, where the candidates will be given the option to change their seats within the institute. Those candidates who were left with Sliding willingness at the end of the Round 3 of the Seat Allotment process will be participating in the internal sliding rounds.
National Spot Round
If any vacancy remains after the Internal Sliding Rounds, then NSR will be conducted. Candidates who have withdrawn their seats and who have not participated in any of the seat allotment rounds can participate in NSR.
Such Candidates will be treated as fresh candidates and will have to fill up the registration form again and complete all the process from the scratch.
Following are the important documents that one must bring to the RCs during the Seat Allotment Rounds:
- Printout of the Registration Form with the locked choices.
- Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
- Original and a Self Attested copy of GATE scorecard.
- Birth Certificate/Class 10th Report Certificate as birth proof.
- Original and a Self Attested copy of educational certificates.
- Original and Self-attested copy of Degree Certificates.
- Caste Certificates, if applicable.
