How To Carry The GATE 2019 Admit Card On Exam Day

Now, once you get your admit card on your device, you will notice that it is in the PDF format. Here is what you need to do next:

  • The admit card will not be accepted at the exam center in the PDF format/soft copy.
  • The candidates need to carry the printed copy (colored/black & White).
  • It is wise to carry 2 copies of the admit card. In case you lose or damage one copy, you will one extra copy handy.
  • I addition to that, ensure that the picture and signature on the admit card is clear on the printed sheet.
  • Your appearance must match your photo on the admit card on the exam day.

How To Download GATE 2019 Admit Card

  • To download the Admit Card of GATE 2019, candidates have to access the GOAPS portal or just click on the direct link that will be available on this page as per schedule.
  • Next candidates will be able to view the following window. Enter the login details and click submit.

Well, this is what bothers most of the candidates. Now, there is no certain rule on this. It is just that your photograph and signature on the admit card should be clear and not blurry. A coloured print out eliminates any deformity in the print, thus we advise you to take a coloured print out.

Forgot GATE 2019 Login Details? – Retrieve GATE 2019 Enrollment Id And Password

In case you have misplaced or have forgotten your GATE 2019 login credentials here is what you can do get the same back:

First Step: Click on the link that says “Forgot Enrollment ID or Password”.

Second Step: You will be able to see 2 options on the next screen –

  • You have your Email Address / Enrollment ID but you don’t have the Password.
  • If you already have an OTP, click on “Already have an OTP?’

Third Step: If you select option 1, you will receive an OTP in your email id. A new window as shown below will also open and you need to enter Mobile Number and E-mail ID / Enrollment Number. After entering the details click on the “Reset Password” button.

Fourth Step: To finally reset the password enter Enrollment ID, One Time Password (OTP), New Password and lastly, confirm the new password. Thus your new password is set, you can use it to log in and download the GATE 2019 Admit Card.

Special Instructions For PWD And Dyslexia Candidates

There are few special instructions for the PWD and Dyslexic candidates regarding the GATE 2019 exam. The candidates can check them below:

  • There will be a “magnified question paper” available for the visually challenged PWD candidates. Such candidates have to contact GATE Institute Representative through the invigilator in the examination hall and they will arrange for the same.
  • The Dyslexic candidates will be given extra time and also services of a scribe. However, such candidates have to submit a proper dyslexia certificate issued by competent authority.
  • GATE authorities will not be providing any assistive device to PWD candidates like Abacus, Braille slate, Wheelchair etc. Candidates if needing such devices have to arrange for it by themselves.

How To Prepare For GATE 2019 Exam

The GATE 2019 exam is scheduled for February 02, 03, 09 and 10, 2019. The candidates now have only 1 month left for the exam. Thus, it is the last leg of the preparations and the most crucial time for all the aspirants. Here are few last minutes important tips one can note to prepare for the GATE 2019 Exam:

  • Revise Your Notes: At this very last moment you will have the notes like blessings. Notes are important, if you have them, to catch up on those last minute revisions. Go through all the important points and formulas in your notes.
  • Take Mock Test: make a habit to attempt at least 2 mock test in a day. Mock tests contain the exact exam pattern that must be completed in a restricted time. This gives you the real feel of the exam day. You learn to handle the time pressure and get used to following a restricted time to complete the exam.
  • Work on increasing your speed and accuracy: Any national level entrance exam like GATE requires a great deal of speed and accuracy. Thus, candidates must work on these 2 factors in their last leg of revision. Practice is the only key to achieve speed and accuracy, therefore if you are in the habit of practicing the mock tests, speed and accuracy will come to you. Thus, keep practicing every day during this last leg of GATE 2019 preparations.
  • Practice from last years’ question papers: Apart from the online mock test, make sure you are also practicing the previous years’ question papers regularly. This will give you an idea of the nature of the questions that come in the exam and you will be very familiar with the tricks and tips for solving the question papers. There are 140 applications that were rejected as these candidates did not fulfil the GATE 2019 eligibility criteria. Such candidates will not get their GATE 2019 Hall Ticket and also their application fees will not be refunded.

There are 585 applications that were found to be duplicate. Such candidates will not get their GATE 2019 Hall Ticket and also their application fees will not be refunded.
