GATE Result 2018 has been announced. Result of GATE 2018, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, is published at appsgate.iitg.ac.in by IIT Guwahati. Admission to M.Tech and Postgraduate engineering courses shall be done on the basis of GATE Result 2018 and All India Rank. Enter enrolment ID, registration ID, email address, and password to check your GATE 2018 Result.

The result of GATE 2018 indicates marks obtained, final score calculated. On this basis, GATE 2018 All India Rank is published for each candidate. Declaration of results will be followed by Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) 2018.

Result of GATE 2018 has been announced on March 16, 2018.

  • Admission in NITs, IIITs, IITs, and M.Tech / M.Plan courses in various other engineering colleges will be on the basis of GATE 2018 Result.
  • Admission and counselling (know here more about GATE 2018 counselling – CCMT 2018) will be done centrally by NITs / IIITs, whereas separate process is followed for the IITs.
  • GATE Result 2018 and score card shall be considered valid for three years.

How To Check GATE Result 2018?

The procedure to check GATE results is simple and candidate friendly. Similar to the method of downloading admit cards, or checking application status, candidates simply have to login at GOAPS to check their GATE 2018 Result. In detail, the process to check result of GATE 2018 is explained below.

  • Go to the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) at appsgate.iitg.ac.in.
  • Enter enrolment ID or email address, and password. In case you have forgotten password, click here.
  • Once you log in, the result will be displayed in the GATE 2018 candidate profile.

NOTE: Score Cards and All India Rank have also been issued to General Category (GE) Candidates whose marks are below GE cut off but above OBC cut-off marks. Those candidates are NOT QUALIFIED in GE category. In case the category of those GE candidates changes to OBC at a later stage, those candidates will be considered as QUALIFIED in the OBC category

Held by the eight zones in collaboration, the result of GATE 2018 is announced for all the papers on the same day. Admission in individual colleges, recruitment to PSUs, may also be on the basis of merit obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (IIT GATE 2018).

  • Result can be checked online.
  • Candidate needs to know GATE ID and password. In case the log in details are lost or misplaced, please contact the organizing body at once.
  • Download GATE score card immediately after GATE result declaration.
  • The e-score card is applicable for admission to IITs, NITs, IISC and other colleges accepting GATE score.
  • For PSU recruitment, the GATE score as published in your score card will be used.
  • The GATE result consists of score and rank.
