G oa Common Entrance Test 2018 (GCET 2018) is organised by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa. Candidates qualifying this examination will be given admission in various Government, Government-aided and un-aided colleges in Goa offering Bachelor’s Degree courses in the fields of Engineering and other programmes. The GCET 2018 results have been announced on May 14, 2018. The link to check the result is given below on this page. Also, to check the result candidates need not log in, it is available in PDF format. Qualifying candidates can further take part in the counselling rounds.

Below is the entire schedule of the CGET 2018 Admission Process. The candidates must keep tracking them and stay up to date with the dates. Candidates who will submit the form after the last date will have to pay late fees. Check the entire schedule in the table below:

Candidates who will qualify the GCET 2018 Exam will have to fill up the admission form and submit it. For admission in B.E. Courses, the candidates will have to fill up the Admission Form A.
Eligibility Criteria for Goa CET 2018
You must know whether or not you are eligible to apply for the Goa CET 2018. Read the eligibility criteria in the below points:
Nationality: All Indian Nationals can apply for GCET 2018. NRI candidates holding Indian Passport can also apply. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin
(PIO) cardholders are also considered eligible to apply.
Age: There is no Age limit for admissions in Engineering courses. Thus one can apply for Goa CET 2018 for engineering admission without worrying about the age limit.
Qualifying Exam: An applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination, which in scope and standard, is deemed to be equivalent to the H.S.S.C. examination of Goa Board.
Minimum Marks: The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination to take admission in the B.E. courses is minimum 45% and for SC/ST candidates is minimum 40%. The minimum marks required must be the aggregate marks of Physics, Mathematics and anyone from Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
GCET 2018 Application Form
The Application Form will be available in the following 3 ways:
- In the official website.
- In the Application Reception Centres
- With the Prospectus on the official website

There will be an application form for admission in the B.E. Courses in the prospectus, which is called Form A. It is not the application form for GCET 2018.
The Application Form is available in the Annexure VII of the Prospectus, it is called Application Form for DTE Goa CET 2018.
The Application Form must be submitted via one and only mode i.e. at the application reception centres.
GCET 2018 Application Fee: Rs. 1800/-
GCET 2018 late application form submission fee: Rs. 1500/-
Mode of Payment: Demand Draft drew in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank.
Requirements: Along with the application form the candidates will have to submit 3 photographs and self-attested certificates as mentioned on the application form at the application reception centre.

- Print the Application form for GCET 2018.
- Fill in the details on your own handwriting. Attach photograph and self-attested certificates as instructed on the application form.
- Submit the application form at nearby application reception centre.

GCET 2018 Admit Card
Candidates will be getting their GCET 2018 Admit Card from the Application Reception Centre itself on successful submission of their application form. They will be given the GCET Admit Card 2018 as soon as they submit the application form on the same day.
The GCET 2018 Admit Card will be issued only in person to the candidates and will not be available in the online mode.

GCET 2018 Syllabus
The Syllabus of GCET 2018, will contain the topics as prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education for class 12. The syllabus will contain the topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The detailed syllabus of GCET 2018 is given here. Candidates can download the GCET 2018 Syllabus and prepare for the entrance test. Candidates must stick to the syllabus and previous year question paper for preparation.
GCET 2018 Result
The GCET 2018 Result will be available on the website and on the notice board at DTE. No individual scorecard will be sent to the candidates. The Candidates will have to check their GCET Result 2018 on the website or the notice board only. The Result will be evaluated as per the marking scheme of the exam which is 1 marks for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking. After the result, the candidates will be called for counselling.
GCET 2018 Rank List
The GCET 2018 Rank List will be made available on the official website and also on the notice board for all the categories. According to this list, the candidates will have to attend the counselling in person. The admission will be final only when the candidate will fulfil all the formalities like payment of fees and document verifications.
