Gujarat PGCET 2019

Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) conducts the Gujarat PGCET each year for admission in First Year of the Professional Post-Graduate Courses. Gujarat PGCET 2019 will thus be conducted in the month of July 2019, tentatively. However, the GATE qualified candidates will not have to appear in Gujarat PGCET 2019. On the basis of the performance of the non-GATE qualified candidates in PGCET 2019, a merit list will be prepared and thereafter the counselling process will start. The first merit list will be comprised of names of the GATE qualified candidates and the second merit list will comprise of the names of the Gujarat PGCET 2019 qualified candidates. After the admission of candidates in the first list, if seat remains vacant the admission will be granted to the candidates in the second merit list. Gujarat PGCET 2019

Admission will be granted in 15 engineering PG courses across various Government, Grant-In-Aid and Self Financed Institutions Located in the state of Gujarat. The examination will be in offline mode across test centres in the state of Gujarat. The schedule of the entire admission process is given in table below.

Candidates must read the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the online application form. The GATE qualified candidates will not have to appear for the PGCET 2019, but they will have to fill the online application form. Therefore, it is important that all the aspiring candidates go through the process of online application.

Note: Like GUJCET 2019, candidates have to collect the pin from the various designated help centres. using this pin they have to log in and fill their online application form.

Gujarat PGCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Passed the qualifying examination in the relevant discipline, with 50% for Engineering (45% in Engineering for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks at the qualifying examination.
  • Obtained the qualifying marks in GATE in the relevant discipline for engineering.

Now the candidates who find themselves eligible for admission based on the eligibility criteria discussed above, they have to fill the online application form of Gujarat PGCET 2019. The steps to fill the online application form is given below in brief:

  1. Buy Pin by paying the requisite amount from the designated centres.
  2. Next candidates have to visit the official website, gujacpcadm.nic.in, or click here, to apply online by logging in using the Pin.
  3. Select the course that you wish to apply for.
  4. Fill the online application form with all correct details.
  5. Check all the details and click on the “confirm registration button”.
  6. Take the printout of the Registration Details.

Gujarat PGCET 2019 Hall Ticket / Admit Card

Candidates must remember that the Gujarat PGCET 2019 Hall Ticket will not be available online. The admit card has to be collected from the designated help centres. To collect the admit card/hall ticket the candidates have to visit there preferred help centre with the printout of the registration details that was taken at the time of submitting the online application form. On producing the same the candidates will be given the Registration acknowledgement Slip cum Hall ticket/Admit card for PGCET 2019.

The officers ate the help centres will collect the registration details and also a set of self-attested documents for the verification process. All the GATE Qualified candidates shall have to submit a Self-attested copy of GATE scorecard. Thereafter, the non-GATE qualified candidates will be issued the Registration acknowledgement Slip cum Hall ticket for PGCET 2019 with signature and seal.


Gujarat PGCET 2019 Result / Merit List

After admitting GATE qualified candidates as per merit of the valid GATE qualifying marks/score, the vacant seats if any, will be filled as per merit secured in PGCET 2019. Thus, there will be 2 separate merit list. The first merit list will contain the names of the GATE qualified candidates. The second will be for the candidates who will qualify Gujarat PGCET 2019. As per the names of the candidates in the respective merit list, they have to register for online choice filling. The name of the candidates will be displayed who will successfully submit their choices along with their allotted seats. To confirm the allotted seats, the tuition fee has to be paid next.

ACPC will also conduct the mock choice filling rounds, where the candidates can get used to the choice filling process before actually practising the same.

Gujarat PGCET 2019 Choice Filling

On declaration of the result, the candidates have to register online and fill the choice of college from the available list of institutes. This process must be completed in the online mode itself. Before the actual choice filling, candidates will be also able to participate in the mock choice filling rounds. Thus candidates who will qualify the entrance examination must participate in the online Gujarat PGCET 2019 choice filling process. Candiadtes who will not register for choice filling, will not be considered for admission.
