The JEE Main result for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is released on the official website of cbseresults.nic.in. Candidates must note that the results can be checked on the official website of CBSE i.e cbseresults.nic.in and also from the JEE Main website jeemain.nic.in As the results have been announced, the candidates will now get rank card based on which they will get admission in the participating institutes on the JEE Main 2018.

What Will Be Needed To Check The Result
For checking the result, candidates must have crucial information available to them. They shall have the following information
- The Roll Number of the candidate: The roll number of the candidate is important for knowing the examination result. If the candidate doesn’t have the roll number with them or has forgotten their roll number, they can get it back. You can look for your roll number on the Admit Card and submit the same on the official website.
- Password to login: The candidates will be required to enter a password to login to their account. The password is provided to the candidate during the application process. If in case the candidate has forgotten the password for login. He can retrieve the same. Check the email account that you registered. You will see a mail from CBSE with the password in it. Use the same and log in to your account.
How To Check The Result From CBSE Website
To check the results from the CBSE website, the candidates can follow the below steps
Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE, cbseresults.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the tab that says “Joint Entrance Examination Main with rank” Click on the same.
Step 3: When you will click on above tab you will be directed to the login page. The login will require you to submit the details such as the roll number and date of birth.
Step 4: Click on submit to proceed. After entering the details you can click on submit and the result will be available on the screen
Step 5: Take a printout of the result and keep it till the admission procedure is over.
How to Check The Result From JEE Main Website
The candidate also checks the result from the official website of JEE Main. Once the candidate is on the official website of JEE Main, click on the results link named as JEE Main 2018 results. After which you will be sent to the official website of CBSE. The steps to download the result from cbse website is same as explained above.
Note: It must be noted by the candidates that the result will only be available online and no candidate will be provided the result in the offline mode. The result will not be sent to the candidate via post or email. Also, remember to keep a copy of the result since the candidate will be required to show it after the results at the counselling to complete the admission procedure.
What after the JEE Main 2018 Results?
After the JEE Mains result, a list of passed candidates will be released on the official website of CBSE. Those candidates who will have their names in the list will be considered eligible to appear for JEE Advanced examination. The JEE Advanced examination shall be conducted on May 20, 2018. Those candidates who will succeed in the JEE Advanced examination will get to attend the counselling.
JEE Main 2018 Counselling
The Counselling for JEE Main 2018 will be organized by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The procedure shall begin from the month of June 2018. Those candidates who will clear the JEE Advanced 2018 examination, will get to attend the counselling and select the college according to their preferences. However, the candidates will get admission into various institutions as according to their performance in the JEE and the overall seat availability in the participating institutes
JEE Main 2018 Seat Allotment
The seats shall be allotted to the candidates on the basis of the norms formulated by the JoSAA. The candidates will get the seat according to their choices filled at the JEE 2018 Counselling. Candidates who will attend the seat allotment will first go through the mock counselling. The purpose of the Mock Counselling is to make the candidates aware of the seat availability and later, JoSAA shall conduct 7 rounds of counselling.
