HPCET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode. The subjects that will be covered are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Read below to know the exam pattern, admission process, syllabus and other important details.


HPCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates will have to ensure they fit into the following eligibility criteria and then proceed with the online application process. Understand the eligibility criteria for HPCET 2019 below:

For B.Tech candidates:

  • Candidates must have Passed/appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

For M.Tech candidates:

  • Candidates must havePassed/appeared bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech) in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology or equivalent from recognized University.
  • The minimum marks needed is 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

 HPCET 2019 Application Form

The candidates need to apply online only, to appear in HPCET 2019. No other mode of application will be accepted. Following steps are to be followed to apply successfully for HPCET 2019:

  4. Upload photograph and signature
  5. Preview the application form
  6. Submit the application fee
  7. Confirmation page and printout

Mode of payment: The application fee amount can be submitted in any of the following modes:

  1. Offline via e-challan

HPCET 2019 Exam Pattern

Candidates aspiring to take admission through HPCET 2019, must understand the examination pattern and familiarise themselves with the marking scheme. This will help you know what is the nature of the examination that you will be facing. Below we have discussed the examination pattern that you must take a note of.

*A candidate seeking admission in particular M.Tech. course must appear in the appropriate paper corresponding to his/her qualifying degree.

  • In general, the marking scheme for HPCET 2019 will be +2 for correct answer and -0.5 for each wrong answer.
  • All the questions will be of MCQ type. An OMR Sheet will be provided to record the response of the candidates against each question.
  • All HPCET 2019 question Paper will be set in English.

HPCET 2019 Important Books for Preparations

HPCET 2019 Admit Card

The HPCET 2019 Admit Card will be the next step for the candidates who will successfully submit their application forms. The Admit Card / Hall Ticket for HPCET 2019 will be made available on the official website only. Candidates should take a print of the e-admit card using the print option on A-4 size paper only. Also, they must ensure that all information on the e-admit card including photograph is clearly visible on the print.

The candidate must show, on demand, the e-admit card and ID proof for admission in the examination room/hall. A candidate who does not possess the e- admit card duly electronically signed by Controller of Examinations shall not be permitted to appear in examination/test under any circumstances.


HPCET 2019 Answer Key

After the completion of the examination the answer key of HPCET 2019, for all the programmes will be available on the official website. The answer key for all the courses of HPCET shall be made available on the University website on the respective dates of HPCET.

Candidates can forward their written complaints that is they can challenge the answer keys, if any, along with supporting documents/solution pertaining to question paper/answer key within 2 days of the release of the answer keys.


HPCET 2019 Result

The Result of HPCET will be uploaded on the University website i.e. www.himtu.ac.in, and will also be available on the Notice Board of the University. The result of each candidate will be provisional. The candidates are advised to download the same as it will be required at the time of counselling.

The result will available separately for both the programmes. The candidates will have to access it on the website as per the scheduled date, download the same and preserve it until the end of the admission process.


HPCET 2019 Counselling

The counselling announcement for HPCET 2019 will be made separately after the declaration of the HPCET Result 2019. The candidates will be able to download the admission brochure, which will contain an all the details regarding the admission process like availability of the seats and the dates of the counselling process.
