IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 – International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad conducts a Post Graduation Engineering Exam(PGEE) for admissions to various M.Tech disciplines like the computer science and engineering, computer science and information security, computer-aided structural engineering and bioinformatics. IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019
IIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 will be a computer-based test of 3 hours, covering questions from two sections. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear for the IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 who have successfully filled up and submitted their applications before the last date lapses. IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Courses Offered
Candidates can pursue any of the following branches of M.Tech from IIIT Hyderabad under PGEE 2019, as mentioned below.

The tuition fees for this year has not yet been released. This page will be updated accordingly after its release. Last year, the tuition fee for all the M.Tech branches were fixed at Rs 1,25,000 per semester.
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Admission Procedure
Admissions to various M.Tech courses will be done on the basis of the following rounds.
- Round No. 1 – Entrance Examination( IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019)
- Round No. 2 – Interview Round
Every year the entrance examination is conducted in the 4th week of April, whereas the selected candidates are then, further called for a round of interview. Candidates are called for this interview round on the basis of the marks obtained by each candidate in the entrance examination.
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
An interested candidate needs to fulfill the eligibility criteria as laid down by the Institute, prior to applying for a particular M.Tech course. For an M.Tech aspirant, the University makes it clear to have a B.E. or B.Tech. or M.E. or M.Tech. (any branch including CSE or ECE or EEE or Civil or Biotechnology), B.Arch., Masters Degree in Science/Mathematics/Information Technology/Computers/MCA Programmes. In short, a candidate with an Engineering or Science degree in any field/area can seek admission to these M.Tech programmes other than the one in which they have completed their basic degree.
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Exam Pattern And Syllabus
To appear for this entrance exam, a candidate must be aware of the exam pattern and the prescribed syllabus for it. So, that on the basis of that he or she can start preparing for the entrance exam. IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Exam Pattern is as mentioned below.
- Mode of Exam – Computer Based Mode
- Duration – 3 hours( 1 and half hours for each section)
- Sections Covered – General Aptitude and Course Specific Knowledge
- Marking Scheme – For every correct answer, +1 mark will be awarded. Also, there is no negative marking scheme applicable.
- Medium Of Exam – English Language Only
- Type of Questions – Both objective and subjective type questions
- Descriptive Questions Topics – Computer Aided Structural Engineering (CASE) and Mathematics
- Objective Questions Topics – Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CNSB), Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

Note that, Section 1 – General Aptitude will be compulsory for all CSE, ECE, CNSB, Mathematics, Civil candidates, whereas Section 2 – Subject Paper will be based on applicant’s graduation discipline.
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Application Form
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Application Form will be made available over the official website of IIIT, Hyderabad as per the dates released by the Institute. The direct link will also be available on our page. Candidates need to fill in all the necessary details and submit the application form before the last date lapses. An IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Application Form will be considered to be fully filled after one has filled his or her personal details, contact details, qualification details and parent’s details, all that has been asked for.
Last year, an application fee of 2000/- INR was charged from every applicant, along with 50/- INR for every additional programme. The application fee could be paid using any of the following payment gateways – Credit card, Debit Card and Net Banking. IIIT, Hyderabad has not yet released the application fee for the year 2019. We will be updating this page accordingly.
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Admit Card
The admit cards will only be issued to those candidates who had submitted their online applications on time. It will be made available to those candidates over the official website. Candidates need to login to their application portal with the credentials provided at the time of registering. No candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Admit Card, and along with that a government ID proof. Your admit card will contain some of your personal details, educational details and exam related details which makes it an important document that needs to be stored safely even after the exams are done.
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Result
The results of the IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 will be released by IIIT, Hyderabad. Usually, it is announced by the second week of May, every year. It will be made available over the official website of IIT, Hyderabad. Note that, results or scorecard will not be sent across via any registered post or courier service, individually. Candidates need to login to their application portals with their application number and identification code, as per the released dates in order to view their results. After viewing, make sure you keep a copy of it saved in your device.
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE 2019 Interview Round
All the selected candidates will be asked to appear for a round of interview. This round will be conducted after the result has been declared for all the candidates. Selected candidates will be notified about this round, shortly after the entrance exam. They will be sent their call letters. Usually, this round is held at IIIT Hyderabad campus. Candidates will be required to appear for this round as per the date and time, allotted to them.
And all those who clear this round will finally be allotted an M.Tech engineering seat at the IIIT, Hyderabad. All the selected candidates will further be provided with an admission letter, within which tuition fee, hostel fee, and caution deposit will be mentioned clearly. Candidates will be asked to complete all the admission formalities within a stipulated time period in order to reserve a seat under their name.
