How to Start with JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form
An application of JEE advanced for the academic year 2018-20 consists of the following steps:
Registration: You don’t need to register all over again. You have to just sign in using your JEE Main 2018 Roll Number and password. Click the link given above and the following page will appear.
Apply Online: After successful login, provide your basic information and the preferences of the cities for the day of examination.
Upload Documents: Now, you need to upload the requisite documents as per the specifications.
Payment: After successful uploading documents you need to make payment online according to which category you belong to

Documents Required for JEE advanced 2018
The Documents to be uploaded before filling up the JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form are listed below. It is advised to you to check all the prerequisites before applying.
Documents Required common to all candidates
- Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it or birth certificate.
- Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate (for those who appeared for this examination in 2018 or whose board declared the Class XII (or equivalent examination) results after June 2018.
- If the name is not same as in the Class X certificate, gazette notification showing the change of name.
Documents Required for the candidates belonging to OBC- NCL Category
OBC-NCL category individuals required OBC-NCL certificate (FORM-OBC-NCL) which have been issued on or after April 01, 2018 in confirmation with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If in any case fails to collect the OBC-NCL certificate (issued after April 1, 2018) before online registration, then you can upload a declaration to that effect.
Documents Required for the candidates belonging to SC / ST Category
If you belong to the category of SC or ST then caste (for SC) or tribe (for ST) certificate (FORM-SC/ST), the latest guidelines of the Government of India.
Documents Required for the Candidates belonging to PwD Category
- PwD category individuals required Physical Disability certificate (FORM-PwD II/III/IV) as applicable. It is issued by the notified medical authority.
- Dyslexic candidate needs to submit FORM-DYSLEXIC 1 and 2 instead of FORM-PwD. Your certificate must mention ‘SEVERE’ to enable you to get the benefit of PwD category.
- Individual IITs may constitute a medical board at the time of admission to test the candidate’s level of disability.
Documents for the Candidates needing services of the scribe
If you are belonging to the PwD category and asking for the services of scribe then you need to provide a request letter to the Chairman of the respective zonal coordinating IIT(FORM-SCRIBE).
Documents Needed for the Candidates under DS Category
Individuals under DS category required the Certificate (FORM-DS) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
Documents Needed for PO / OCI Candidates
Individuals fall into this category required to provide PIO card or OCI certificate, as applicable.

JEE Advanced is the examination for the admission in the undergraduate courses in the IITs. CBSE in the year 2013 has decided that for admission to the IITs and NIITs students will be tested on the scores obtained in two papers- JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
