JEE Advanced 2018 Toppers – Cracking JEE Advanced requires years of hard work and preparation and why not. JEE Advanced is country’s toughest engineering entrance examination. Cracking the same is not a piece of cake. But, there are many candidates who have not only scored well in the JEE Advanced 2018 but have also aced the examination with flying colours. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur on Sunday i.e. June 10, 2018, announced results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced. Here are the Toppers for the same:
AIR 1: Pranav Goyal
Pranav Goyal, 17, from Chandigarh topped the JEE Advanced 2018, the examination held for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology. He had scored 97.2% in the CBSE Class 12 exams and had All India Rank 4 in the JEE Mains, scoring 350 out of 360 marks. He did his coaching from Sri Chaitanya Institute in Chandigarh.
Pranav Goyal’s Success Mantra: “If you focus well, your study hours won’t really matter. So just stay focus, maintain balance and be calm. Have faith in your teachers and their guidance, and always ensure that your knowledge is conceptually sound.”
Tip: “Solving previous year papers helped me a lot in getting an insight into the pattern of the examination.”
Thus, he recommends focussing on solving a lot of question papers.
Aim: Take admission in IIT-Mumbai. After that, to pursue MBA and go for entrepreneurship.

AIR 2: Sahil Jain
Sahil Jain from Bundi stayed in Kota as he took coaching from Vibrant Academy for the last two years. sahil believes in “smart study” for preparation.
“I studied for almost six to seven hours daily apart from coaching and school classes to prepare for the JEE Advanced. Also, I worked hard for the last two years during which I concentrated on my classes, made regular notes, solved problems and cleared doubts from faculty.”

AIR 3: Kailash Gupta
Consistent hard work and focus is the key that Kailash Gupta is one of JEE Advanced 2018 Toppers and has secured AIR 3.

Strategy for success: He started his preparation when he was in class 11. At first, he took one step at a time and with passing days he took one or two mock tests on a regular basis.

JEE Advanced 2018 – Highlights
Here are the highlights fro JEE Advanced 2018. Know what were the highlighting factors this year in India’s largest engineering entrance examination:
- Mathematician Anand Kumar’s Super 30 has done it again, this time 26 of the 30 students making it to the JEE-Advance for admission to India’s premier IITs.
- Maximum 5,072 have qualified from IIT Delhi zone, 3,595 students from IIT Madras zone, 2,936 students from IIT Bombay zone, 2,160 students from IIT Kanpur zone, 1,736 from IIT Kharagpur zone, 1,800 from IIT Roorkee zone, 839 from IIT Guwahati zone.
- The topper of OBC category: Mavuri Siva Krishna Manohar, Vijayawada, IIT Madras zone; Topper of SC category: Aayush Kadam, Kota; Topper of ST category: Jatoth Shiva Tarun, Hyderabad.
- Total 155158 students appeared in JEE Advance 2018, 18138 students have qualified the JEE advanced, This 1.6 times more than the number of the seats being offered, total 11,279 seats are being offered in 23 IITs in the country.
- Now that the Results are announced seat allocation will commence from June 15.
