JEE Main 2019 Latest News – National Testing Agency (NTA) is taking over the responsibility of JEE Main exam form 2019 onwards. This has brought a wave of curiosity and news changes in this National Level Examination. Before NTA, Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) was in charge of JEE Main. However, due to increasing pressure on CBSE, the government of India constituted the NTA. Now, NTA will conduct JEE Main 2019 in online mode only and twice a year. JEE Main 2019 – January Registrations

August 31, 2018: NTA releases the slot timings of JEE main 2019 January exam. Now, it is clear that JEE main 2019 Paper 2 will be in online mode, but the candidates will have to attempt the drawing section in offline mode. The paper 1 will be concluded in 2 shifts. August 23, 2018: The Test Practice Centres for JEE Main 2019 exams will open from September 01, 2018. These centers will help all the JEE Main 2019 aspirants practice for the online mode of the exam and get familiar with the online interface of the exam. Read the full news.

August 23, 2018: After the reports of changes in the tentative schedule of JEE Main 2019 and other NTA exams, NTA finally publishes the official press release at nta.ac.in confirming the JEE Main 2019 dates. August 22, 2018: For JEE Main and as well as for the advanced examination MHRD will start IIT – PAL lectures.  IIT – PAL (Professor Assisted Learning) lectures will aim at providing free lectures by the IITs themselves to help crack the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE). Reports on making JEE Main the only exam for IIT admissions showed up

August 21, 2019: In the IIT council meeting at IIT Delhi, MHRD and IITs vetoed the proposal of dismantling the JEE advanced examination and making JEE Main the only exam for IIT admission. Read the details here.

Establishment of the Test Practice Centres (TPCs) by NTA

July 26, 2018: A press release from MHRD confirms that NTA will establish TPCs that will be free of cost and the selected schools and colleges who have registered to act as the TPCs, will be open on every Saturday and Sunday for the JEE Main 2019 aspirants.

July 25, 2018: On this day, the official website of NTA flashed an announcement. This was regarding the Schools and Institutes to register themselves as Training Practice centers and help the JEE Main 2019 aspirants free of cost. Read the report.

NTA Announces JEE Main 2019 dates for the first time and launches their official website

July 7, 2018: Prakash Javadekar conducts a Press Conference, announces National Testing Agency has started working and the dates of JEE Main 2019 were announced therein. Inception of NTA

March 20, 2018: Vineet Joshi, the former Chairman of CBSE, take up the role of Director-General of NTA. An IAS officer of the 1992 batch from Manipur cadre, Vineet Joshi, was the first to coin the term Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). November 10, 2017: The Union Cabinet approves the creation of National Testing Agency. The government announced this news via the Press Information Bureau (PIB), that this new body will conduct major exams which CBSE was in charge of. JEE Main is the most popular engineering entrance examination for B.Tech./B.Arch admissions. On the basis of JEE main scores, candidates appear in JEE Advanced examination for admission in the Indian Institute Of Technology (IITs).
