JEE Main 2019 Paper 2

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 is conducted on one day only but in 2 shifts. NTA conducted the exam in an online mode entirely for the first time. The total number of candidates registered for paper 2 in January session was 1,80,052 and the candidates who appeared in the exam were 1,45,386.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Important Exam Day Instructions

It is clear the Part 1 and Part 2 of the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 will be held in the online mode and the part 2 that is the drawing section will be held in sheets – offline mode.

  • 30 questions: Mathematics (Part-1) = 120 marks — online
  • 50 questions: Aptitude test (Part-2) = 200 marks — online
  • 2 questions in drawing = 70 marks — Offline

Now for the exam day here are the special instruction s for the candidates who will appear in the paper 2 exam:

  1. Own Geometry Set Allowed: Candidates are allowed their own crayons, color pencils, erasers, pencil colors, pencils etc.
  2. Water Colors Not Allowed: Colors are allowed, however, watercolors will not be allowed.

These 2 exceptions are available for the paper 2 candidates that are not given to the paper 1 appearing candidates.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Admit Card

Now, there is no separate admit card for paper 1 or paper 2. You get 1 admit card that clearly mentions for which paper you have applied for. This one admit card will be valid for both paper 1 and paper 2 for the candidates who will appear for both the papers in JEE Main Paper 2.
JEE Main 2019 admit card is available in the online mode only. Candidates have to log in using their application ID and password to get the admit card. On the admit card you will be able to see the following:

  • Final exam center details
  • exam timing, personal details
  • JEE Main 2019 roll number
  • your photograph
  • signature
  • other exam related instructions.

If you have applied for both paper 1 and 2, then you will be able to check the schedule of both the exam on your admit card. You have to appear at the test center as per the schedule in your JEE Main 2019 admit card.

Paper 2 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 will be quite different from that of JEE Main 2019 Paper 1. Thus, it is important to know what will be the pattern of the exam, from the brief explanation below:

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Syllabus:

Part – I: Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials.) Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build~environment. Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing. different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

Part – II: Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms, and elements, color texture, harmony, and contrast. Application Form Correction – Over

NTA will be opening the application form correction window as the last opportunity to rectify any mistakes in the application forms. The window will be opening on October 08, 2018. Candidates need to log in using their application number and password to make corrections in their application forms.

This is a one time opportunity. Thereafter the details finalised on the form will be only used for admissions.

JEE Main 2019 Application Form – Over

The JEE Main 2019 Application form will be available in the online mode only in the official website of nta.ac.in. Now, the process of application for Paper 1 and Paper 2 will remain the same. There will be one application form available and candidates have to select for which paper (1 or 2 or both) they wish to appear for.

  • To fill the application form candidates have to register first and then fill asked details like Aadhaar details, personal and educational information, uploading documents etc.
  • Next, to submit the filled in application form candidates have to pay the application fee online.
  • On paying the application fee, an acknowledgment page will appear containing application ID.
  • Note the application number.
  • Take print out of the submitted application form, do not send it to the authorities. Keep it for your reference.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria

There is no difference in JEE Main Paper 1 and Paper 2 admissions. Just that if you qualify Paper 1 you will be able to take admission in B.Tech/B.E. courses and become eligible for JEE Advanced examination. However, if you qualify the Paper 2 exam you will be able to take admission in B.Arch/B.Plan courses at institutes other than the IITs. If you qualify in both the exam, you have to select your course of study ( B.Tech/B.E. or B.Arch/B.Plan).

Below are the eligibility criteria :

Age Limit – No age limit.

Educational Qualification – The candidate must be appearing/appeared Class 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board. Also, the applicant should have Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Number of Attempts – No attempt limits.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Question and Answer Key

The JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 questions are to be used to crosscheck the answers and get an estimated score using the answer keys. The question paper of JEE Main 2019 has 3 parts. Part 1 is the mathematics, Part 2 is Aptitude section and Part 3 is the Drawing section.

Right after the exam is over the paper 2 answer key is available unofficially and memory based. The official answer key by NTA is available 1 week after the exam is over for all the 5 days. It is made available under the candidate’s login at jeemain.nic.in. The answer key published by NTA contains the correct answers to all the questions asked in the examination. In addition to that, this answer key can be challenged by paying a requisite amount of Rs. 1000/- per challenge. The final answer key is uploaded after considering all the challenges. Based on this final answer key the result of JEE Main 2019 is prepared.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result

NTA will declare the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result at nta.ac.in. The result this time is percentile based. The scorecard contains the section wise percentile marks and the overall marks. This means the candidates of paper 2 can see their percentile marks in Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing section and the overall percentile score.

The overall percentile score is what forms the basis of JEE Main 2019 AIR. Based on the AIR candidates will have to participate in the seat allotment and document verification process. The final admission will be confirmed after the document verification is complete.

  1. Can I get admission in B.Tech after giving paper II of jee main because I didn’t applied for paper I and I want to get admission in B.Tech ??

    • Sorry, but to take admission in B.Tech you need to appear in paper 1 and qualify the same. Paper 2 is only or B.Arch/B.Plan admissions.
