The JEE Main 2019 exam is being held on January 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12, 2019. National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the exam in 2 shifts every day, The first shift is being conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the second shift from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The paper 2 of the JEE Main 2019 exam will be however conducted in one day only January 08, 2019. The exam is being conducted in the online mode across 273 exam cities. NTA has also announced the bell time schedule over the official website of JEE Main 2019. JEE Main 2019 Timing And Shifts
The exam is being held in 2 shifts. However, the candidates need to reach the exam centre 1 hour before the exam start time. This is because, being a national level examination, candidates have to go through the frisking and verification process. The exam dates and timing of the exam is given in the table below:

JEE Main 2019 Flow Of Events On Exam Days
Many times candidates face the issue of reaching the exam centre late and thus in a rush, they face trouble in the frisking process. To avoid such issue NTA has advised following the following schedule on the exam day. This schedule is ideal for all the candidates are appearing in the JEE Main 2019 exam.
Now the below schedule is for the students appearing in the shift 1 of the exam i.e. from 9:30 AM To 12: 30 PM. A similar time schedule can be maintained for appearing the shift 2 of the exam.

What To Carry On The JEE Main 2019 Exam day?
On the day of the exam, the candidates need have proper knowledge of what they can carry inside the exam hall what they need to carry inside with them. Being a national level examination there will be strict norms regarding the items that er allowed and banned inside the exam centres. Below are the items that one needs to take note of:
Items allowed inside the JEE Main 2019 Exam Centres:
- The Admit Card
- A valid photo id proof
- One passport sized photo same as the one uploaded in the application form
- PWD candidates are allowed to carry PWD certificate if claiming relaxation under the PWD category,
Items not allowed inside the JEE Main 2019 Exam Centres:
- Water bottles
- Electronic gadgets
Important Instructions For JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 Candidates
The JEE Main 2019 candidates who will be appearing in the paper 1 exam, will not be allowed to carry their personal stationery items inside the exam centre. The exam will be in the online mode entirely, and thus candidates will not be allowed and pen/pencil or sheets inside. The required rough sheets and pen/pencils will be provided inside the exam centre.
Important Instructions For JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Candidates
Candidates who will be appearing in the paper 2 examination will be allowed to carry their colours, geometry boxes, pencil, erasers, scales etc. However, watercolours are strictly prohibited.
JEE Main 2019 Admit Card
The JEE Main 2019 Admit Card is mandatory to be carried at the exam centre. However, it is to be accompanied with a passport sized photograph same as the one uploaded in the application form and a valid photo id proof. The candidates are also advised to read the important instructions in the admit card before appearing in the exam.
Now there are also confusions on whether or not to carry a coloured or black and white or coloured print out. In the instructions by NTA it has been mentioned that a coloured print out will be preferable. Thus, candidates on the safe side can carry a coloured print out of the admit card to the exam centres.
The JEE Main 2019 Admit card has been issued and is available for download. Candidates have to use the Login to access their admit card. The admit is available for download via application number and password or application number or date of birth.
