  1. Those who opted for Offline examination must bring their own Blue/ Black Ball Point Pen. While those who opted for Online examination need not require bring any pen as they will be provided with one at the exam center only.

  3. You are not allowed to bring any textual material, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device, etc inside the exam center.
  4. Those suffering from diabetes can carry inside the eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/ apple/ orange) and transparent water bottle into the examination hall.

Q. Will there be a problem if my mother’s name on Boards Hall Ticket and the JEE Mains Admit Card do not match?

A. Yes, details printed on the admit card should be as per the details given by you at the time of registration. If by any chance there is some mismatch in the detail contact the JEE Main/ CBSE authorities.

Q. Can I download JEE Main 2018 Admit Card anytime on any day before the JEE Main?

A. Yes, you may do so, however, remember to bring a print out of it on the day of the examination. But you should download it as soon as it is available. It may happen that if you are downloading it a day before the exam, the website may not work. So don’t take such chances for the entrance exam.

Q. What should I do if I have lost my JEE Mains Admit Card?

A. Well, it has always been advised to you to preserve the admit card till the end of the admission process. Always first download it and then take at least 2-3 print out of it. However, if you have lost your admit card, don’t worry you can download it again. The window for downloading the admit card shall be available till the counseling is over.

Q. How will I get my JEE Main Admit Card?

A. The admit card for JEE Main 2018 will be available by online mode only st its official website. No candidate will receive it by post.

Q. The name on my JEE Mains Admit Card doesn’t match the name on my Aadhaar card since I’ve updated them recently. Is that a problem?

A. Not sure about that but as a precaution, you can carry a copy of the application made requesting for updating or original education certificate as an additional proof. Also, you can contact the CBSE/ JEE Main authorities regarding this issue.

Q. In which size of paper should the JEE Mains 2018 Admit Card be printed? Should it be a color print out or black and white print out?

A. You can take the print out on the normal printer paper. It is preferable if you take a color print out because then your photo and signature will be clearly visible. However, it is your choice because has not given any specific rules regarding this.
