JEECE 2018 – Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) conducts the Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Exam (JEECE) every year for admission in B.E/B.Tech courses. JEECE 2018

JCECEB invites application from the interested candidates for admission in engineering courses in various institutes of the state. The application process is now going on. In addition to that, JCECEB has made it clear that the process will be in online mode only. Here are the important dates that you must take a note of.

Also, make sure before you start the application process of JEECE 2018, you read the eligibility criteria properly. If your eligibility is found invalid at any point in the admission process, strict actions can be taken.

JEECE 2018 Admit Card

JCECEB will provide the facility to the candidates to download their JEECE 2018 Admit Card online. The admit card will be available to those candidates who will submit the application form without any error an before the deadline. Also, keep in mind that without this admit card, you will not be allowed inside the examination center. So, without fail, do download the admit card/hall ticket of JEECE 2018 as per the schedule.

The admit card/hall ticket will carry information like applicant’s name, roll number, father’s name, category, exam center details, subject group etc.

Test Centres: The JEECE 2018 will be conducted at Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad. Candidates need to select two convenient towns as their choice of center. Anyone of them will be allotted by the board. However, mostly the first choice is allotted.

JEECE 2018 Application Form

The JEECE 2018 Application Form is now available online on the official website, jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. To access the application form visit the website or click on the “Apply Online” button below. Candidates who will fill the application form correctly before the last date will be only allowed in the examination. So, start the process as early as possible. However, do not forget to read the eligibility criteria before starting.

JEECE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Read the below-mentioned eligibility criteria well before applying online. With these in mind, go ahead and apply online.

Criteria Requirement
Residential Criteria You must be able to show the residential proof as being a Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand. Also, Indian nationality is mandatory.
Educational Criteria You must have passed class 12 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. In addition to that, you must have total minimum marks of 45% (40% for reserved categories).
Age Limit There is no maximum or minimum age limit.

 

JEECE 2018 Exam Pattern

The JEECE 2018 Exam will be in accordance with the following pattern. Candidates appearing for engineering admission will appear in PCM group.

Mode of Examination: Offline (OMR sheet will be given)

Language of the Question Paper: English and Hindi

Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Maths

Paper: 1 question paper

Type of Questions: MCQ (4 options with one correct answer)

Total Questions: 150

Total Time: 3 Hours

Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answers, -1/4 for wrong answers

JEECE 2018 Important Books

Since the exam pattern and syllabus are now available, the next important thing is the books. What are the important books to prepare from? Where to get them? Not to worry! Note: Complete the NCERT textbooks of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They are the most important books. After that, for extra practice, you can refer the following books.

How to Prepare for JEECE 2018

Well, if you are one of those candidates who has prepared for JEE this year, then you need not worry much. Just keep revising and practice the previous years JEECE question papers. However, if you are aspiring to crack JEECE and you are not one of the JEE candidates then read below:

  1. Complete the NCERT books. With about 1 month left for the exam, just stick to the syllabus and the NCERT books.
  2. Practise as many previous years question paper.
  3. Take mock tests. This will help you manage time in the exam.
  4. Prepare the way you are preparing but before 10–15 days just solve the previous year paper. That will help you get used to the exam pattern.
  5. Stick to your studies this last month. Cut down on social media and outings. Do take regular small breaks but do not waste time.

JEECE 2018 Result

The Board will release the JEECE 2018 Result on the official website only. The answer sheets will be evaluated and the result will be published on the website. Thereafter the candidates can download their result and check their scores. There is no provision of rechecking of the answer sheets. Thus, whatever result is declared will be the final one.

Also, a merit list will be published. The board will prepare a combined and a category-wise merit list for the allotment of seats. In addition to that, the candidates will be arranged in the list on the basis if their JEECE 2018 Scores.

JEECE 2018 Counselling

The board will organise an online counselling process. The details of which will be uploaded after the results are declared. Counselling will be done in 2 rounds only.

Round 1: Candidates in the merit list can take part in the counselling rounds. The candidates will be called as per their position in the merit list. Candidates can choose their preferred seat only after the verification of the original documents.

Round 2: If any seat remains vacant the second round of the counselling will take place. candidates who participated in round 1 can also participate in round 2 to change their seat. Other processes will remain same as in round 1.

Selected candidates need to pay the following amounts by RTGS or using Credit Card/Debit Card.

Original Documents for Verification

The board will verify the candidate’s identity and eligibility criteria during the admission rounds. Thus, candidates should carry the following documents in original in their counselling rounds.

  1. Admit card, Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate of class 10.
  2. Admit card, Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate of class 12.
  3. Local Resident Certificate
  4. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  5. Income Certificate
  6. Passport Sized Pictures (Same as the one uploaded in the application form of JEECE)
  7. Admit Card of JEECE 2018
  8. Disability Certificate (if applicable)

About the Conducting Body

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has the entire responsibility of JEECE 2018. The Government of Jharkhand has assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for admission into various Institutions in the state. Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is a self-financed, autonomous incorporated body of State Government. The Government has constituted the Member of Board for taking decisions on policy and organizational matters in light of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board Act. 2000.
