Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) conducts Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination (JEECE). The board conducts the examination once in every year. JEECE 2019 will be thus conducted, probably in the month of May 2019. Candidates who want to take admission in B.E/B.Tech courses in the state of Jharkhand in the academic year of 2019-20 have to appear in JEECE 2019. The JEECE 2019 official website is jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. JCECEB also conducts other entrance examinations for admission in various courses. Although for engineering candidates need to apply for JEECE 2019. To apply candidates need to fill an online application form and also submit the same online.

Fact: JCECEB conducts 9 different type of Entrance Examination. The Government of Jharkhand has assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for admission into various Institutions in the state.

JEECE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Residential Criteria You must be able to show the residential proof as being a Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand. Also, Indian nationality is mandatory.
Educational Criteria You must have passed class 12 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. In addition to that, you must have total minimum marks of 45% (40% for reserved categories).
Age Limit There is no maximum or minimum age limit.

JEECE 2019 Application Form

There is only the online mode of application form submission is available. Candidates need to follow the steps below to apply successfully for JEECE 2019:

  1. Register first on the official website.
  2. Login and complete the application process
  3. Upload Scanned Images.
  4. Payment of the Application Fee
  5. Printout of the Application Form

JEECE 2019 Exam Pattern

The JEECE 2018 Exam will be in accordance with the following pattern. Candidates appearing for engineering admission will appear in PCM group.

JEECE 2019 Admit Card

The JCECEB will release the JEECE 2109 admit card on the official portal. Candidates have to log in and get their Admit Card. Also, remember this is the most important document and a proof of your candidature in the exam center. Without this document, no one under any condition can take the JEECE 2019 Examination.

The admit card/hall ticket will carry information like applicant’s name, roll number, father’s name, category, exam center details, subject group etc. After downloading the JEECE 2019 Admit Card take a good quality printout of it and keep it safe until the admission process ends.

The examination center in all the previous years has been Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad. In 2019 too, the centers are expected to remain the same. If changes are made it will be notified in the information bulletin.


JEECE 2019 Result

The Board will release the JEECE 2018 Result on the official website only. The answer sheets will be evaluated and the result will be published on the website. Thereafter, the candidates can download their result and check their scores. There is no provision of rechecking of the answer sheets. Thus, whatever result is declared will be the final one.

Also, a merit list will be published. The board will prepare a combined and a category-wise merit list for the allotment of seats. In addition to that, the candidates will be arranged in the list on the basis if their JEECE 2018 Scores.

Merit is decided as follows in case of a tie:

If there are candidates scoring the same score in JEECE, the following tie-breaking rules are followed:

  1. Preference is given to candidates having more marks in Mathematics.
  2. If the tie still remains, candidates with more marks in Physics is given preference.
  3. If the tie still exists, candidates older in age will be preffered.
  4. In the end, if the tie still remains, alphabetic order of the first name will be considered.

JEECE 2018 Counselling

The board will organise an online counselling process. The details of which will be uploaded after the results are declared. Counselling will be done in 2 rounds only.

Round 1: Candidates in the merit list can take part in the counselling rounds. The candidates will be called as per their position in the merit list. Candidates can choose their preferred seat only after the verification of the original documents.

Round 2: If any seat remains vacant the second round of the counselling will take place. candidates who participated in round 1 can also participate in round 2 to change their seat. Other processes will remain same as in round 1.

Selected candidates need to pay the following amounts by RTGS or using Credit Card/Debit Card.

Original Documents for Verification

The board will verify the candidate’s identity and eligibility criteria during the admission rounds. Thus, candidates should carry the following documents in original in their counselling rounds.

  1. Admit card, Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate of class 10.
  2. Admit card, Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate of class 12.
  3. Local Resident Certificate
  4. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  5. Income Certificate
  6. Passport Sized Pictures (Same as the one uploaded in the application form of JEECE)
  7. Admit Card of JEECE 2018
  8. Disability Certificate (if applicable)
