How to check JKCET 2018 Results?
Those who have appeared for the exam can check their JKCET 2018 Result by following the steps given below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of JAKBOPEE or click on the link given on this page to check the results.
Step 2: Enter the details on the screen like the registration number and the date of birth.
Step 3: The result will be in the form of a result card. The result card of JKCET 2018 will contain the following details:
- Name of the candidate
- Roll Number
- Application Number
- Mark Details
- Merit Details
JKCET 2018 Result
JKCET 2018 Result will be declared after the final answer key has been uploaded on the official website. The results will be available on the official website as well as in the local newspapers. Candidates who feel that they should have got more marks can give a request in writing about the same to the concerned authorities.
The request for re-totalling can be done in writing within 3 days from the result declaration. There is a fee of Rs 1000 which the candidate has to pay Rs 100 at POS terminal at J&K BOPEE Srinagar or at Jammu. Requests from those candidates will not be entertained who submit it after the deadline.
JKCET 2018 Cut Off Marks
JAKBOPEE will release the cut off marks after the JKCET 2018 Result declaration. Cut off is the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score to be eligible for the counselling process. To get the preferred college, candidate has to score the maximum marks.

JKCET 2018 Merit List
The JKCET 2018 Merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the Entrance Exam and the eligibility. It might be possible that the merit list may be prepared only on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate in their 12th exam. It will only be in the case when no entrance is being conducted.
In case two or more candidates have obtained the same number of marks in entrance
test, the merit of such candidates shall be determined by taking into account:
- Marks obtained in Mathematics component of the Entrance test;
- If marks obtained in Mathematics component are equal, the merit will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Physics component of the Entrance test,
- Next, the merit will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Chemistry component of the Entrance test if marks obtained in Mathematics and Physics components are equal;
- If marks obtained in Math, Physics and Chemistry are same, the candidate with the older age will be given more preference.

JKCET 2018 Counselling Process
JKCET 2018 Counselling Process will be conducted after the JKCET 2018 result declaration. It might be done online as well as the physical counselling might also be done. During the counselling process, the candidates are advised that they fill as many options as possible. The options must be according to their preferences of branches. Lets have a look at both the methods of counselling.
- If physical counselling takes place, the candidates have to come for counselling along with all documents in original, admit card and a payment receipt of Rs. 1200.The fee has to be paid at the POS terminal at BOPEE office of Srinagar or Jammu. The fee can also be paid through swap machine available at BOPEE office. Candidate needs to be present before the counselling committee to fill the form.
Online Counselling Process
If the counselling process takes place online, the aspirant has to fill the Online Application Form. It is advised to the candidates that they read the instructions first and then fill the application form.
The online application form will consist of a list of colleges along with the branches. Candidates are required to choose at least 1 option from amongst the given colleges. They can practice filling up the form before doing the final submission so that they don’t make any mistake while filling it finally. They also need to pay a fee of Rs 1200 through online payment method.
After the candidate fills the form and pays the fees, the online application form will be locked and then they won’t be able to change the form.
- 2nd round of Counselling
The second round of counselling process will be conducted only if the seats in the first round go vacant because of the resignation of a seat by the candidate or non-filing of the same. The second round will also be the upgradation round. Those who have been allotted seats in the colleges will be eligible for this round. Also, those candidates who did not get seats in the first round of counselling will be eligible for it.
Those appearing for the second round of counselling/upgradation will have to fill fresh preferences in the online application form. It is to be noted that those who have paid the fees in the first round of counselling need not pay the fee again but will have to mention the reference code of the fee which they paid earlier.
- 3rd round of counselling
The third round of counselling will be done in a similar manner as that of the 2nd round of counselling. If the seats in the second round of counselling remain vacant due to the similar reasons will be available in the 3rd round of counselling.
Note: The candidates who did not join the college on allotment of a seat after first round
of counselling or on upgradation of seat/allotment of seat during second round
shall not be eligible to participate in the third round of counselling. Those
candidates, who were upgraded during 2nd round and joined the institute are also
not be eligible to participate in the third round of counselling.
