JKCET 2019 Application Form

Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test is a state level examination for engineering admission. The qualified candidates get admission in around 2500 seats. Make sure that the application form is submitted before the end of the deadline, which is as follows:

Application Fee of JKCET 2018

JKCET 2019 application fee is to be paid in the online mode. This year the application fee has been hiked. The details are as follows:

Application Fee: The JKCET 2019 Application Fee is Rs. 1200/-.

Mode of Payment: The candidates will be able to submit it via Net Banking, Debit Card/Credit card. Only online payment mode is available.

Documents Required to Submit J&K CET Application Form

The application form for JKCET 2019 will only be accepted if the candidates will upload details and images correctly on it. Only those candidates get JKCET admit card whose form is accepted by the Board. So make sure there are no errors in the details and all the documents are uploaded in a proper format.

Documents – The candidates will have to upload the following documents/details:

  1. Recent Passport size Photograph
  2. Matriculation Qualifying certificate for purpose of verification of date of birth
  3. 10+2 marks card, if the results are declared
  4. State Subject Certificate
  5. Category certificate, if any
  6. Thumb Impression
  7. Signature
  8. E-mail address/Mobile No. latest.
  • Specifications for Documents – While applying online you need to upload the scanned copy of your original documents in the pdf format having size 100-200 KB.

Specification for Photograph: You need to must upload your recent photograph taken on a light colored background. Refer to the sample image below:

JKCET 2019 Application Form

  • You must upload your photograph in a JPG/ JPEG format.
  • The maximum file size of the photograph with nameplate and the date of taking photo must be 10-50 KB.
  • You must be taken the snap of your photograph on or after 01-01-2019.
  • Your name (as mentioned in your application form) must be displayed on your photograph.
  • In case if name and date are written on your photograph after taking it then your application form will be rejected.

Specification for Signature

  • You must upload the scanned copy of your signature on your application form.
  • The maximum file size of the signature must be 10-50 KB.
  • You must upload your signature in JPG/ JPEG format.

Specification for Thumb Impression

  • You must upload the scanned copy of your thumb impression on your application form.
  • The maximum file size of your thumb impression must be 10-50 KB.
  • You must upload your thumb impression in JPG/ JPEG format.

How To Fill The JKCET 2019 Application Form

The candidates can refer to these steps while filling the application form. The steps are given below:

  • Firstly, visit the official website jakbopee.gov.in, or click on the direct link above. The following page will open:

  •  Click on the link/button “Click here to fill application” a new pop-up window will open. Please close if you have activated any pop-up blocker.
  • A page with instructions appears. Read all the instructions and check the declaration button. After checking the declaration button click on the “apply” button.

  • On clicking the apply button on the next page the application form will appear. In the application form the candidates have to fill the following details:
    • Personal Details: name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, age, gender, category, exam center choice – Jammu or Srinagar.
    • Next, the candidates have to fill the mailing address: The address must be complete with pin code and proper name of the state.
    • Education Details of Qualifying Examination: On the next section the candidates need to enter the details of the qualifying examination.
    • Uploading Photograph: On this stage, the candidates need to upload their scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression. In the end, the candidates will need to submit the form by clicking on the submit button.
  • The candidates need to pay the application form at the ned after submitting the application form in the online mode using net banking, debit/credit card.

Forgot to note down the Application Number or misplaced it?

No problem! you can retrieve easily. There will be a forgot application number link. If at any point of time you forget your application number, click on the link/button Forgot Application No. A page with some details will be shown.

Select your Examination Type, and enter your Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth and Verification code and then click the Submit button. If your details submitted are correct, then you will be shown your Application No. example, Your Application is 21800400001.

JKCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Now, before you are starting with the filling of the JKCET 2019 Application Form it is important to know whether you are eligible to apply for the exam or not. Thus, below are the following points that you need to crosscheck before applying for JKCET 2019.

  1. Is your age At least 17 years on December 31, 2019? – Yes/No?
  2. Have you qualified the 10+2 exam in 2019 or will be qualifying it in 2019? – Yes/No?
  3. Have you taken  English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subject combination in 10+2? – Yes/No?
  4. Is your minimum marks in 10+2 are 50% for OM candidates (40% for category other categories) – Yes/No?

If the answer to all the above questions is a YES – you are eligible to apply for JKCET 2019.

JKCET 2019 Admit Card

Candidates who will apply successfully within the deadline will be provided with the JKCET 2019 Admit Card. This is the document that will let you appear in the JKCET 2019 Examination. Without this, you can not even enter the examination hall. The JKCET 2019 Hall Ticket / Admit Card will be available on the official website itself and can be accessed by the candidates as per schedule by logging in to their registered accounts.

Q1: Is the application form available in offline mode too?

A: No the application form is to accessed online at the official website and the submission is also to be done in the online mode.

Q2: While I am trying to apply for the exam, there is a message that says unable to peon the pop-up. What to do?

A: You might have a pop up activated in your browser.  Please deactivate it to access the application form in a new tab.

Q3. I am unable to upload the photos in the application form. The message is displayed that says- “an unexpected error occurred”. What shall I do?

A: Make sure the photo you are uploading is as per the specifications mentioned in the form. The sizes and dimensions of the upload must be as per the guidelines and the format of the pictures must be JPG/JPEG.

Q4.What does PRC mean in the application form?

A: It is the Permanent residence certificate (PRC) issued to the residents of the Jammu and Kashmir state.

Q5: I don’t have the 10+2 result with me as of now, I have appeared in the exam and my result is awaiting. What should I fill in the education details column?

A: Such candidates need to select the option “appeared” in the educational qualification section of the application form.
