JKCET 2019 – The application form for JK Common Entrance Test 2019 is now available. Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JK BOPEE) released it on the official website, jkbopee.gov.in. The form has released on February 1 and the last date to apply which was March 10, 2019 and was extended until March 20, 2019, is now further extended until March 27, 2019. This year, JKCET 2019 will be held on April 28, 2019, in offline mode. It is a state level exam, held for admission of candidates in B.E / B.Tech courses, offered by colleges Jammu and Kashmir. JKCET 2019 | J&K CET 2019

Under JKCET 2019, candidates will get admission is GCET (Jammu), GCET (Kashmir) and SSMCET (Kashmir), MIET (Jammu), MBSCET (Jammu), YCET (Jammu), BCET. These colleges offer following specializations – Civil / Electrical / Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical / Electronics & Communication / Computer / Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Bio-Medical Engineering. JKCET 2019 Application Form

The candidates willing to appear for the JKCET 2019 exam are required to apply in the online mode only and submit the same before the last date. The application fee is required to be submitted in the online mode too to complete the application process. In addition to that, the candidates are also needed to upload a few scanned images of important documents in the online application form.

Below are the basic steps to apply for the JKCET 2019 exam.

  • Click on the link and register yourself first.
  • Thereafter, fill the application form.
  • Upload the scanned documents, signatures and photographs wherever needed.
  • Finally, pay the application fee.
  • After payment take the print out of the acknowledgment page that will be generated.
  • You must note down the application number that will be generated after the submission of the application form. This will be used for future references.

Application Fee: The JKCET 2019 application fee is Rs. 1200/-

Mode of Payment: The candidates will be able to submit the application form via online mode only. The available mode is Net Banking or Debit /Credit card.

JKCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Age: At least 17 years old on December 31, 2019.

Qualifying Exam: Should have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board of the nation. The candidates who will pass their 10+2 in 2019 are also eligible to apply given that they have their result at the time of the admission.

Subject combination needed: English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Minimum marks needed: The candidates will need an aggregate mark of 50% Marks for OM candidates and 40% for category other categories (Other than Sports, JKPM and CDP).

JKCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

JKCET 2019 Exam Hall Schedule

the information brochure of JKCET 2019 clearly mentions the schedule as per which the candidates need to appear in the exam center. The breakdown to the exam schedule is given in the table below:

09:55 AM Reporting time in the Examination Hall.
10:00 AM The Invigilator shall check the identity of each candidate by comparing his/her facial appearance with the photograph given in the admit card and attendance sheet. The center Supervisor shall also check the identity of the candidates and ensure that only the genuine candidates have been allowed to sit in the examination hall and there is no case of impersonation.
10:15 AM Candidates will be given OMR Answer Sheet. They will go through instructions printed and fill in the particulars on the Answer Sheet.
10:25 AM Candidates will be given Question Booklet. The Question Booklet number is to be entered on the Answer Sheet.
10:30 AM Candidates will break open the seal of the Question Booklet and start attempting the questions.
01:30 PM The candidates will remain in their seats. They will hand over the OMR Answer Sheets to the Invigilator, take the question answer booklet and OMR candidate’s copy along with them and leave the examination hall only when they are asked to leave.

JKCET 2019 Admit Card

After you are done with the application process, admit card can be downloaded when released by the board. To download the admit card you have to visit the official website and enter the details You have to take a colored print out of admit card.

After downloading the admit card, you should check that all the details provided in it are correct. In case of any error, immediately contact the BOPEE help desk. If you don’t have internet facility, get the admit card from the help desk by paying a small amount. It is important to carry admit card in the examination hall as without it you will not be allowed to appear for the JKCET 2019.

JKCET 2019 Exam Centres

The JKCET 2019 exam centers will be in the state of Jammu and Kashmir only. The exam centers will be allotted to the candidates via the JKCET 2019 Admit Card only. In addition to that, the centers will not be changed once allotted to the candidates. The exam centers will be open for the candidates who will have a valid admit card. Thus, the candidates need to get their admit card and check their allotted exam centres to appear in the exam.

JKCET 2019 Answer Key

You can download the answer key after the examination from the website. It is going to be made available on the same date of exam or by 12 noon on the next day. The Board is going to keep answer key on the website for three days and after that, it will be removed. If you think that there is an error in the answer key, you can make representations along with proper proof from the standard textbook within these three days. The representation should be made against a small payment.

JKCET 2019 Result

The result of the examination will be announced in the form of merit list. Candidates can check the result by entering the year in which exam is held and then download the list. Name of all those candidates will be included in the list who have scored minimum cut off marks. The merit list is going to be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the applicant in the exam. The Board is going to release two merit lists. First is for open merit category and second is of reserved category. All the candidates whose name appears in the merit list will be invited for counseling round for seat allotment.

JKCET 2019 Merit List

The candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks will be considered in J&K CET 2019 Merit List. The Board will prepare the merit list in order of inter-se merit of candidates in descending order for the Open Merit Category and the same for each Reserved Category separately. The candidates who will get the place in J&K CET 2019 Merit List will be able to go through the counseling process.

JKCET 2019 Counselling

Candidates can fill their choices for courses and institutions in the online round of counselling. But before you start filling the choices, you need to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 1500. The seat allotment will take place considering the rank in merit list and choice filled by you. After the allotment process, you have to get admission in the allotted institution and course before the date provided.

Note: Candidates can practice filling the choices in the dummy exercise as provided by the Board.

The board might conduct online or offline counselling as found suitable at that time by the Board. If the offline counselling is practiced the Physical presence of the candidates is mandatory for admission.
