JKCET 2019 will be conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JK BOPEE). The candidates who will appear for J&K Common Entrance Test 2019 (JKCET 2019) and will qualify it will going to be admitted to B.E./ B.Tech courses in government and private colleges of the state. This state level entrance test is expected to be conducted in the month of April 2019.

All the applicants appearing for the exam will have to compete for different engineering courses like computer engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, electronics and communication. JKCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen and be a permanent resident of J&K state.
Qualification: (i) You must have passed Hr. Sec. Part-II (12th/ 10+2) or equivalent examination from recognized Board.
(ii) You should have English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 10+2 level as elective subjects.
(iii) If you are appearing in the annual examination of class 12th, you are eligible to apply for the entrance test.
(iv) You should have obtained at least 50% marks in qualifying examination. However, if you belong to SC/ ST/ OBC relaxation of 10% is given by the Board.
Age Limit: Your age should not be less than 17 years as on December 31 of relevant year (2019).

J&K CET 2019 Application Form
To start the application process, you have to visit the official website of J&K BOPEE. Thereafter click on ‘Exam’ tabs and select ‘Common Entrance Test (Engineering)’. Now follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Here you have to click on Application Form. A pop-up appears on the screen containing important instructions for candidates. You must read it and abide by them. Click on Apply to proceed with application form filling.
Step 2: In this part of the application form, you will be asked to provide personal details, mailing address and educational details. Ensure that you provide all the details in the relevant field. Information provided in educational details column should be as on your mark sheets. Any error may lead to rejection of application form.
Step 3: At the end of an application form, you have to upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature and Left Thumb impression in the format and size as mentioned in the following table:

Step 4: Preview the application details after clicking submit button. On proceeding, an application number will be generated. Note it down as it will be required for future correspondence.
Step 5: Now you have to pay an application fee for J&K CET 2019. To pay the fee type in your application number and date of birth. You will be redirected to the payment gateway where application fee could be paid using debit card/ credit card/ internet banking.
The application fee decided by the Board is Rs. 800/-.
Step 6: After successful payment, take a print out of acknowledgment. Thereafter, you have to upload the scanned copy of all the self- attested documents in the form of PDF with a maximum size limit of 100 KB.
Step 7: Finally, print the application form and keep it safe as you will require it at the time of counseling and admission.
JKCET 2019 Admit Card
After you are done with the application process, admit card can be downloaded when released by the board. To download the admit card you have to visit the official website and enter the details You have to take a colored print out of admit card.
After downloading the admit card, you should check that all the details provided in it are correct. In case of any error, immediately contact the BOPEE help desk. If you don’t have internet facility, get the admit card from the help desk by paying a small amount. It is important to carry admit card in the examination hall as without it you will not be allowed to appear for the JKCET 2019.
JKCET 2019 Answer Key
You can download the answer key after the examination from the website. It is going to be made available on the same date of exam or by 12 noon on the next day. The Board is going to keep answer key on the website for three days and after that, it will be removed. If you think that there is an error in the answer key, you can make representations along with proper proof from the standard textbook within these three days. The representation should be made against a small payment.
JKCET 2019 Result
The result of the examination will be announced in the form of merit list. Candidates can check the result by entering the year in which exam is held and then download the list. Name of all those candidates will be included in the list who have scored minimum cut off marks. The merit list is going to be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the applicant in the exam. The Board is going to release two merit lists. First is for open merit category and second is of reserved category. All the candidates whose name appears in the merit list will be invited for counseling round for seat allotment.
JKCET 2019 Merit List
The candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks will be considered in J&K CET 2019 Merit List. If the entrance exam will not be conducted then the merit list will be prepoared on the basis of the obtained marks in the qualifying examination. The Board will prepare the merit list in order of inter-se merit of candidates in descending order for the Open Merit Category and the same for each Reserved Category separately. The candidates who will get the place in J&K CET 2019 Merit List will be able to go through the counseling process.
JKCET 2019 Counselling
Candidates can fill their choices for courses and institutions in the online round of counselling. But before you start filling the choices, you need to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 1200. The seat allotment will take place considering the rank in merit list and choice filled by you. After the allotment process, you have to get admission in the allotted institution and course before the date provided.
Note: Candidates can practice filling the choices in the dummy exercise as provided by the Board.
