How is the KEAM 2018 Rank List Prepared?
Candidates who will qualify KEAM 2018 have to submit their 12th standard qualifying examination marks or equivalent for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. These marks will be used to prepare the rank list of KEAM 2018. The Board will give equal weightage (50:50) to KEAM 2018 scores and marks of the qualifying exam.
A candidate who will not appear in any one of the papers will be disqualified. Hence, will not be considered for ranking. In other words, appearing in both the papers, Paper I – Physics & Chemistry and Paper II – Mathematics is compulsory.
If there is a Tie?
In the situation of a tie between two or more candidates, the board will undertake the following:
- The candidate with higher marks in KEAM 2018 will be placed higher.
- The candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics will be ranked higher
- If a tie still exists, marks obtained by the candidate in Mathematics in qualifying exam will be considered, with the one having higher marks ranked higher.
- In the unlikely circumstance of a tie at this stage, the candidate who is older in age will be placed higher.
KEAM 2018 Cutoff
In order to qualify KEAM 2018, you need to pass each subject separately. Candidates will need a minimum of 10 marks in each subject to qualify the entrance exam. However, there is no such restriction for the Sc/St candidates. But, all candidates must attempt one question, whatever may be their category.
