Manipal Academy of Higher Education, formerly known as Manipal University will conduct Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 (MU OET 2019). This examination is held for admission in various UG and PG courses offered by the Institute. Admissions to B.Tech, B.Tech Lateral Entry, and M.Tech programmes will be done on the basis of performance in MU OET 2019. The examination is conducted online every year on a national level. The candidates will be given 3rd attempt for B.Tech programme but there will be no 3rd attempt for B.Tech Lateral Entry and M.Tech programme. Candidates must follow the dates carefully as the Online Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 will be conducted at different times for different programmes as it is clear in the above table.

Manipal University Admission Procedure 2019

The admission to B.Tech/B.Tech Lateral Entry/M.Tech at Manipal University will be strictly on the basis of MU OET 2019 i.e. Manipal Entrance Exam 2019. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the score of the candidates in this examination.   • Duration: 2.30 Hours
  • Number of Questions: Physics- 50, Chemistry- 50, Mathematics-70, English & General Aptitude-30.

Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 Pattern for B.Tech Lateral Entry:

  • Syllabus: Diploma level Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General English (Click Here for detailed Syllabus).
  • Duration: 1 Hour
  • Number of Questions: Physics- 10, Chemistry- 10, Mathematics-50, Communication Skills & English-20. BSc graduates with Mathematics will have a separate question paper consisting of 70 questions in Mathematics and 20 questions in Communication Skills in English.
  • Total Questions: 90

Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 Pattern for M.Tech:

  • Syllabus: The University has prescribed syllabus for M.Tech Entrance Examination. (Click Here for detailed Syllabus).
  • Duration: 1.30 Hours
  • Number of Questions: 50 Questions from the respective disciplines & 10 questions from Engineering Mathematics.
  • Total Questions: 60
  • Type of Questions: MCQs
  • Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer, -1 for each wrong answer.

Note: All candidates possessing valid GATE score will be given 10% additional marks and ranked on the merit list for M.Tech Admission. Candidates with GATE score must enclose the photocopy of their GATE scorecard along with the Application Form. Without which the additional marks will not be awarded.

Candidates will have to qualify MU OET 2019 for admsission in the above courses and also there is no minimum age limit for the same.

Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 Application Form

This will be the first step towards the admission process 2019 of Manipal University. You will have to register on the official website of the university, manipal.edu, and fill up an Application Form to start the admission process. A candidate will be able to take second atteMpt at the examination if he/she is not satisfied with their performance in the first attenpt, 3rd attempt is also available for the B.Tech applicants. But the Examination fee has to be paid each time they attempt the Manipal Entrance Exam 2019.

You will have to fill the form before the last date as per the schedule and appear in the MU OET 2019. Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 Hall Ticket / Admit Card

The Admit Card/Hall Ticket will be available after 24 Hours of your slot booking. You will have to book the slots for the Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 as per the schedule and you will be able to access your Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 Hall Ticket / Admit Card soon after that. Make sure you download the admit card and keep it safe until the admission process is over.

Manipal Entrance Exam 2019 Merit List / Result

The merit list will be declared on the official website of Manipal University after the conduct of MU OET 2019. The result/merit list will be published as per the above-mentioned schedule for the engineering programmes. The candidates who will meet the qualifying criteria, which is min. 50% score in Manipal Entrance Exam 2019, will be eligible for further admission process. An applicant is allowed to take a second attempt if she/he is not satisfied with his/her performance in the first test. The best of two scores is considered for the merit list.

Manipal University Counselling 2019

Candidates selected will be attending the counselling in person as per the schedule. The candidates will be needing to produce the certain documents during the counselling process of Manipal University. During counselling all candidates are required to produce the original and two sets of photocopies of following documents. In the event of admission, the University will retain these documents till the candidate completes the course.

For B.Tech/B.Tech Lateral Entry:

  • MU OET 2019 Hall Ticket
  • 10th standard marks card for proof of date of birth
  • Marks card of 10+2
  • Conduct / Character certificate to be obtained on the School/College letter head/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
  • Transfer Certificate or School/College Leaving Certificate issued by the School/College. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
  • Four recent and identical passport size photographs and one stamp size photograph
  • Diploma marks card and Diploma certificate from the Board/ University (for lateral entry – BTech applicants only)
  • PAN Card Copy (Parents)

For M.Tech:

  •  MU OET 2019 Hall Ticket
  • Degree certificate or Provisional pass certificate issued by the Board/University
  • Marks cards of qualifying examination (all semesters/years)
  • Conduct/Character certificate to be obtained on the College letter head/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
  • Photocopy of passport of the candidate(for foreign candidates only)
