OJEE 2018

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination 2018 (OJEE 2018) was conducted for admissions in Government and Private Engineering College seats of Odisha for the academic year 2018-19. Although the admissions to the first year B.Tech Courses is made on the basis of the ranks of JEE Main 2018, the admission to Lateral Entry in B.Tech and M.Tech courses is made on the basis of OJEE 2018. The entrance was conducted at 81 centers in 20 cities of the State on May 13. More than 48,000 students seeking admission into different government and private institutions in the State for courses in Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, M. Tech, M. Arch, M Plan and M Pharm besides lateral entry in BTech appeared the examination. Qualifying candidates will not be appearing in the counselling rounds.

OJEE 2018 Exam

The OJEE events are listed with their important dates in the table below. Know all the important details of the examination from this page. The candidates who will appear in JEE Main 2018, need not appear in OJEE 2018. But for those who are willing to take admission in B.Tech (lateral entry) and M.Tech courses must compulsorily apply for OJEE 2018.

OJEE 2018 Application Form

The candidates must note that the application process is now over and the eligible candidates who have applied for OJEE 2018, will be appearing for the examination as per the scheduled date after they download their admit card from the official website. Here are the steps for filling the OJEE 2018 Application Form:

  1. Register Online
  2. Login with the login credentials
  3. Fill the application form
  4. Upload photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression
  5. Payment
  6. Print Out of the confirmation page

Note: Candidates applying for OJEE 2018 for B.Tech (LE) and M.Tech courses will be filling up the Form B and Form D respectively.

Application Fee

The application fee for OJEE 2018 depends on the type of the course the candidate is applying for, for B.Tech (LE) and for M.Tech courses the application fee is Rs. 1000/-.

OJEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in OJEE 2018, however, the minimum age limit is 17 years. For Lateral Entry in B.Tech (Marine Engineering), there is a maximum age limit, which is 22 years.

Educational Qualification: The following table shows the education qualification various engineering programmes for which OJEE 2018 will be conducted:

OJEE 2018 Admit Card

With the application process now over, the next important event is the availability of the OJEE 2018 Admit Card. Admit cards will be uploaded at OJEE website as per the schedule. The candidate has to download two copies of the admit card from the OJEE website which must be produced in the examination centre for allowing the candidate to appear the exam.

If an applicant fails to take print out of Admit Card from the OJEE 2018 website for the examination by the last date then he/she must contact OJEE 2018 office immediately before April 30, 2018.

Candidates must bring two copies of the admit card to examination centre as one copy will be retained by the invigilator and one by the candidates. If any mistake is found in the admit card it must be brought to the notice of the conducting body before April 30, 2018.

OJEE 2018 Exam Pattern

The following will be the pattern and mark scheme of OJEE 2018. Candidates must familiarise themselves with the examination pattern before the examination itself to avoid any last minute confusion and to prepare for the examination accordingly.

For Post Graduation courses aptitude test will be conducted, there will be in all 90 questions. Branch-specific questions will be 60, there will be 20 questions from Engineering Mathematics and 10 questions from Arithmetic & Logical Reasoning.

Preparing for OJEE 2018

Here is the deal with not much time left for the examination, the candidates need to work a bit smarter. No one will be able to complete the entire syllabus in the last few days. Thus here is what you should do at this point of time:

  1. Know what are the most important chapters.
  2. Gather Previous Years Question papers and solve them on a daily basis.
  3. Know the good books to prepare for the examination.
  4. Take Mock Test.
  5. Analyse yourself regularly.
  6. Work on your weaker areas and practice more.
  7. Focus on timing your answers so that you finish at least 10 mins ahead of time.
  8. Work on speed and accuracy both.

OJEE 2018 Answer Key

Here is all you need to know about OJEE 2018 Answer Key:

  • After the few days of the examination, the OJEE Answer Key 2018 will be released on the official website.
  • The link to download the answer key will be provided on this page.
  • With the help of the answer key, the candidates will be able to predict their scores prior to the declaration of the result.
  • Using the official marking scheme the candidates can calculate their scores and have a rough estimate of their scores.
  • The official answer key will contain all the correct answers to all the questions asked in the examination.

OJEE 2018 Result

The result will be announced in the form of merit list and rank card. Candidates need to log in using their roll number to access their rank card. This rank card is to be produced during the time of counselling. The candidates will be called for counselling as per the scheduled time and date which will be declared after the announcement of OJEE Result 2018.

The result will contain the rank. If the candidate wishes to know the subject wise scores then they have to make a written request enclosing a demand draft of Rs. 400/- in favour of “OJEE 2018” drawn on any Nationalised Bank at Bhubaneswar, so as to reach the OJEE office within 10 days of the publication of result.

OJEE 2018 Counselling

Candidates who will be called for the counselling rounds on the basis of the merit list must appear as per schedule for the completing the document verification process, fee payment and other important admission facilities in person. The counselling schedule will be announced after the declaration of the result on the official website.
