Peoples Education Society (PES) University conducts PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT). It is a university level entrance exam, which is held for admission in B.Tech and B.Arch courses. ​PESSAT for B.tech takes place near about the month of April or May. The examination is a computer based examination i.e., it will take place online. PESSAT 2020

Selection Criteria: The admission in PES University will be done on the basis of PESSAT 2020 for B.Tech degree in the courses Mechanical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Communications Engineering, Civil Engineering. However, candidates planning to pursue B.Arch will have to appear for NATA 2020, followed by PESSAT counselling. It should be noted that the University will also fill B.Tech seats on the basis of KCET 2020, which is the state level entrance examination.

PESSAT 2020 Exam Pattern

PESSAT 2020 will be a computer based examination. Candidates can go through the below mentioned information to have a clear understanding about the exam pattern

  • Duration: The candidates will get total 180 minutes to complete the exam.

B.Arch: As stated above, the B.Arch admission will be done on the basis of NATA score. Hence, candidates will have to prepare as per NATA syllabus, determined by Council of Architecture (CoA).

How to Prepare for PESSAT Exam

If a candidate is preparing for PESSAT exam then he/she has to prepare and score well in the examination

  • First of all, before starting tge preparation a student should prepare a time-table which he/she has to follow.
  • As it is said that practice makes the man perfect, it goes same here also which means that students should solve more and more model papers.
  • A Candidate should keep one goal set in his/her mind which is to crack the examination at any cost.
  • The main thing which is important for any examination is to brush up the grammar skills.

PESSAT 2020 Selection Process

For B.Tech Course:

(1) If a candidate wants to take admission in B.Tech course then he/she should have at least scored 60% marks in 12th standard namely in subjects Mathematics, Physics. The candidates who are willing to take admission should have paased the 12th standard from CBSE, ICSE, IB, State and IGCSE.
(2) After the online written test, the candidates will have to give the interview which will be conducted on the same day of the examination.

For B.Arch Course:  

Admission through PESSAT Counselling (45% of seats)

Candidates who wish to apply for B.Arch need to follow some steps to take admission in B.Arch degree.

  1. Firstly, visit the website and select the option B.Arch.
  2. No PESSAT will be conducted for the students because they will be selected on the basis of their
  3. NATA scores and marks obtained in 10+2 or Diploma.
  4. Then, upload the NATA scores on the main website of PES University.
  5. After this the students will be called for the first round of counselling which be will be solely based on the NATA scores uploaded by the students on the website.

Note: The candidates who want to appear for the counselling must have cleared the eligibility criteria for B.Arch degree which is that they must have scored 50% marks or above in 10+2 or Diploma or International Baccalaureate.

Admission through CET Counselling (40% of seats)
There are few steps required to take admission through CET. Candidates can check the steps given below for the same:

  1. Candidates have to apply for CET.
  2. Then attend the counselling in the CET cell for further process required in admissions.
  3. The admission process will take place at PES University.

PESSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates can the check the eligibility criteria from information given below:

For B.Tech course
Candidates must have scored minimum 60% marks in 10+2 in science stream i.e., in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board. The students who have passed the examination from CBSE, ICSE, IB, State and IGCSE will be given consideration for the admissions.

For B.Arch course

Candidates should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks and should have studied mathematics as a core and compulsory sybject.
OR
Candidates should possess 3 year Diploma passed in any stream with 50% aggregate marks and Mathematics as a mandatory subject.
OR
Candidates should have International Baccalaureate Diploma secured after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and should have secured minimum 40% marks in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA).

Admission for NRI/ Sponsored seats/ Higher fee category seats (15% of seats)
Candidates can provisionally reserve their seats straight at PES University by contacting the University for getting admission into a particular course as in this case to get B.Arch degree.

PESSAT 2020 Application Form

Application forms for PESSAT 2020 will be available on the official website only in other words, candidates have to fill the form online only. Candidates should fill the details with utmost care because the information once secured and stored will be not be changed and no excuses will be enteratained later.

Application Fees:
As per the data of last year candidates will have to pay an amounts of Rs 1050 approximately.

How to Apply?

Candidates need to follow certain steps to fill the application form. The below given steps can be referred by the students in order to fill the application form.

Step 1: Candidates will have to first get themselves registered where they have to fill the name, gender, date of birth, course name, gender and E-mail ID.
Step 2: After registration, candidates can fill the application form with accurate personal and educational details.
Step 3: After filling the details candidates will have to provide three test centers.
Step 4:Then login with the username and password generated at the time of Registration and the upload the scanned image of photograph.
Step 5: The noteworthy step is to pat the fee after submitting the form which can be done through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.
Step 6: The last step is to take the printout of the receipt of the payment made as a confirmation of submission of application form.

PESSAT 2020 Slot Booking

Candidates will have to book the slot after submitting the application form so that they can receive the admit card on time. The slot can be booked online. Candidates will have to fill the username and password generated at the time of registration and then book the slot strictly as per the dates mentioned in the schedule.

PESSAT 2020 Admit Card

The admit card for PESSAT 2020 can be downloaded from the official website of PES University after the booking of the slot. It is to be noted that to attain the admit card, candidates need to book the slot as sson as possible. Without the slot booking, admit card will not be available to the candidates. The admit card will be comprising of following things:

  • Candidate’s Name
  • Roll Number
  • Course Name
  • Test Centre

How to download Admit Card?

To download the admit card, the candidates need to follow some simple steps which are given as follows:

  • Go to official website of PES University.
  • Search the Admit Card button and then click on it.
  • Login with the username and password provided at the time of registration and download the Admit Card.
  • The last step is to take the printout of the Admit Card.

PESSAT 2020 Result

The result for PESSAT 2020 will be available online on the main website as soon as the examination is conducted. After checking the results, candidates can download their rank card. Candidates can check the results by logging in with the username and password generated at the time of registration.
Note: Scholarships will be only provided to those students who prove their merit in the university itself and not before he/she gets admission.

PESSAT 2020 Counselling

PESSAT counselling will be held for those students who will qualify the entrance exam with eligibility criteria taken into account. Candidates will have take certain documents when they appear for counselling process which are given as follows:

  • Aadhar Card
  • Hall Ticket
  • 10+2 Marksheet
  • 10th class marks card (SSLC)/ Birth Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  • 6 passport size photographs
  • Two Demand Drafts in favour of PES University General Fund payable at Bangalore
