SET SITEEE 2019 – The entrance test to take admission in the B.Tech courses in Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is called SITEEE (Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam). SET 2019 For Engineering (SITEEE 2019)

From the last year onwards, SET was divided for all the programmes. Before that, all the entrance test in Symbiosis was called SET. However, now Symbiosis introduced names for the entrance examinations. For example, SET – Law test is known as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), SET – Design test as Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), SET – Engineering is SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE). SET – General continues to be called as SET.

Note: Symbiosis will intake admission in First Year of B. Tech programme on the basis of merit in any one of the following entrance exams (SET, JEE (Main), MHT-CET). Thus candidates need to follow the schedule of the admission process carefully and stay updated about it on this page.

SET 2019 Engineering Application Form

Candidates need to follow the following process below to apply successfully for the entrance test:

Application Fee & Mode Of Payment

  • Application Fee is Rs.1750/-.
  • Mode of payment is through i) Billdesk Gateway ii) Indian Bank Gateway iii) Demand Draft.
Note: For Engineering, if a candidate applies to seek admission on the basis of test other than SITEEE ( like JEE Main or MHT CET), he/she need not register. Rather he/she may apply directly to the concerned institute.

Also, one important thing to note is that even after paying the application fee, candidates need to pay an additional non-refundable sum of Rs. 1000/- while selecting the programme in the application form. The payment will be required for per programme per institute at this stage.

SET 2019 Engineering Eligibility Criteria

Below are the important criteria that a candidate must fit in to be able to apply for the SITEEE 2019 for admission in Symbiosis Institute in UG Engineering courses:

The eligibility criteria for Indian students are:

  1. 10+2 passed from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
  2. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) in the above subjects taken together.

The eligibility criteria for foreign students are:

  • Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical vocational subject.
  • Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

In a nutshell, there is no difference in eligibility criteria between foreign and Indian nationals.

SET 2019 Admit Card For Engineering

Symbiosis will host the Admit Card of SITEEE 2019 on their official website as per schedule. Candidates need to practice the choice of their test cities while filling the online application form. However, a candidate may choose three preferences of test cities. The Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card.

No one will be able to enter the examination hall without the SET 2019 Admit Card. Thus, make sure to download and print the admit card as per the deadline. The candidate has to carry the Admit Card along with Photo Identity proof to the Test Centre at the time of the test. An acceptable photo identity is any one of the following:

  4. Pan Card
  5. AADHAR Card (UID)
  6. School/College ID Card

SET 2019 Engineering Syllabus

Symbiosis has not prescribed the syllabus for SITEEE 2019. But candidates who have taken the admission test say that the syllabus is based on JEE Main syllabus. Basically, candidates need to cover class 11 and class 12 topics as prescribed by CBSE. Thus for SET 2019, Engineering candidates can refer the CBSE syllabus.

SET 2019 Score Card/Result For Engineering

Under the login of the candidates, Symbiosis will issue the SET 2019 Score Card/Result. The result will contain the scores of the candidates and thus the qualifying status.  As per the schedule, candidates can check their scores online. Also, candidates need to enter their SITEEE 2019 ID and Password to access the SET 2019 Result.

Counselling will take place as per the schedule mentioned on this page above. Thus, candidates need to appear in the counselling rounds in person and complete the admission formalities.
