VITMEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for M.Tech programmes in VIT, candidates should be aware whether or not they are eligible for admission. Thus, read below to know the eligibility criteria. If you do not understand any of the points you can comment below and ask your doubts.
- Candidate should be a graduate.
- They should have a minimum aggregate percentage of 60%.
- It is must to have a consistent record in X and XII Std.
- If the candidate is in the final year, they can also apply. Although, at the time of interview at VIT, they should complete the final year.
- By August 15, candidates should be able to produce the final year marks and Provisional degree certificate.
- National, as well as NRI candidates, can apply for VITMEE 2019.

VITMEE 2019 Exam Pattern
What is the pattern of this examination? SWell, aspiring candidates who are planning to take admission in VIT for the academic session 2019-20, must know the nature of the examination. Thus, we have explained below the marking scheme, pattern and everything else about VITMEE 2019.
- Mode of examination: Online (CBT)
- Number of Questions in each paper: 100 (80 will be from the chosen technical subject and 20 will be from English communication)

VITMEE 2019 Slot Booking
What is VITMEE 2019 Slot Booking? Well, in simple words, it is an online booking system where you can book your seat in a particular test center. Although you will need to choose from the available list of centers, you can choose them as per convenience. Also, you can choose the time and date slot for your test.
As soon as the slot booking will start, candidates must not delay and book their slots. Candidates will be themselves responsible to book their slots. VIT will cancel the candidature if no slots are booked on time.
VITMEE 2019 Admit Card
After the candidates book their slots candidates can download their VITMEE 2019 Admit Card. Moreover, this will also serve as an identification card in the VITMEE 2019 Exam center. Thus, make sure to download the admit card without fail. The Admit card will contain the important details like slot, date of examination and also the address of your test center, test schedule, and other instructions. In addition to that, your personal details will also be available on it.
VITMEE 2019 Result
VIT will release the VITMEE 2019 Result on the official website. Candidates will be able to check it by logging into their account using their credentials – roll number and date of birth. Also, the result will carry the rank, section-wise marks and total marks of the candidate.
On the basis of VITMEE scores, candidates will be appearing in the counselling process. Although, VIT makes it clear that the candidates with valid GATE scores, will be given preference during admission.
VITMEE 2019 Counselling Process
Candidates qualifying VITMEE 2019, will appear for VITMEE 2019 counselling. However, the GATE qualified candidates will be preferred here. Although, as was mentioned earlier GATE candidates must also appear in VITMEE 2019 and qualify the same. VIT campuses Vellore, Chennai & VIT Bhopal will be the only venues for the counselling process.
The list of short-listed candidates will be published on the website or personal SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number for an interview/counselling at Vellore/ Chennai/VIT-Bhopal.
Counselling fee details:
- Candidates who are called for counselling have to pay a sum of Rs. 12,000/ towards counselling fees.
- The counselling fees are Non-Refundable, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the Institute.
- The mode of payment of the counselling fee will be a Computerised DD like every year.
VITMEE 2019 Fee Structure
VIT offers various M.Tech courses. Also, the candidates are divided into category 1 and category 2 when it comes to the payment of the fees.
What is Category 1 and Category 2 in VITMEE 2019?
VIT decides this category based on VITMEE scores. Category 1 candidates are the Students with top scores and ranks in the VIT Entrance Exam and others are placed in Category 2. As per your category, you will be eligible for various scholarships at VIT and fee waiver schemes. The cutoff for being eligible for categories is decided by the institute itself.

VITMEE 2019 Scholarship Programmes
Apart from the above-discussed fee waiver scheme, VIT also offers scholarship programmes. The deserving candidates are recognised and encouraged.
- To the top six GATE Qualified scores in each M.Tech programme, VIT will provide a Monthly stipend of Rs .4000/-.
- Also, under the DADD fellowship, top VITMEE / GATE scorers will get a stipend of 3600 Euros (i.e. Rs.2.40 lakhs) for a double degree programme in Communication Engineering.
- For M.Tech (Nanotechnology), VIT will provide a student fellowship of Rs. 12,400/- p.m per student and a Contingency of Rs. 15,000/- p.a per student. However, this will be valid for the first 20 students admitted to M.Tech Nanotechnology, provided by DST (Nano Mission Council).
The placement and training cell of VIT is called PAT. Not only does this function as the working body to facilitate smooth working of the placement activities in the campus but also works to facilitate the training activities of the students and makes sure they get placed in the best of both national and international companies. VIT has withheld many placement records in the past years.
